She handled it very maturely and very aptly, trying to bring out her emotionally and psychologically stressed daughter out of a trauma.
She didn't beat Kumud or didn't do anything to her, just told her to calm herself and behave normally.
For her, being a mother, she might have also got scared. She had to handle herself and then her daughter, which she did nicely.
She clearly read the unsaid things and solved the problem as she did earlier.
Mother knows everything and she is the one who takes out her child from every problem in her own way.
She does things which a father can't even think of.
Hence it is said, "God can't be everywhere, therefore he made mothers"😳
