I have a question

Today, 'Khushi di' or 'Khushi the friend' has a serious question. For a moment, just forget that I'm a Mod. 😊

I have been noticing something:

In the past, sig makers used to have shops and worked on requests. They had their galleries to show members those creations.

But NOW it's different. Sig makers don't take requests and don't have any shop BUT tend to make atleast 3-4 creations a week, post them in their galleries and ask members to use them like that.

There's absolutely no problem with this BUT there's a reason behind it: Popularity. That's the only explanation I have for it. Sig makers want to become more popular.

When I come to this section to check if everything's fine, I see soooo many titles saying something like 'New Kareena Sig on page 50' or 'New Baabul sig on page 40'. 'Feel free to use'

And at the same time, the same sig makers claim to have exams, say they are busy/away or are unwell. So where's the logic?

It's not a secret that copying will never stop here. For instance, I saw Anjali207 and Mahi a.k.a WildGloss coming up with totally new styles for non-animated sigs and wow, a day later everyone copied. Even those who have always claimed to be original. But let's ignore this as usual. I'm sure most of us are already tired of thinking of new styles. Where's the use, haha.

The competition here isn't healthy anymore - unfortunately. I don't see the logic and I'm honestly worried.

Or am I just too attached to this section??!! Popularity's fine for some time but won't give you anything. Instead of sitting in front of your PCs for hours just to make people say 'WOW! Nice creation' isn't the right thing. Go out and enjoy your break, concentrate on your studies and pay attention to your health.

I know what I'm talking about and just wish to give you all a friendly advice.

i understand what you mean and I agree with you. My shop had been closed for about a month...and i had pending requests from memebers that didn't get finished until about a week ago. I felt bad about that. But there was no way that I could keep my shop open and study for exams cuz it would be full of late requests.

When i opened my shop I made sure that all those requests were done and I posted them on the last page. I changed the title to say 'New sigs pg 36" so members would know that the shop is finally open. ALL the sigs on that page are requests for ppl except for the Kanchi one which was made for the memebers in the ELAS section.
I was tierd of updating the 1st page so I put them on the last page as a new start.

Then all of a sudden I come bk the next day all the shops have something like that written on them! Everytime i posted a new sig in my shop (and obviously the topic was put on top) All other shops started posting until the one i posted was long gone 😆 .

I don't want to blame anyone for anything but there is an unbelievable amount of competition that is going on and it's very obvious. In fact i saw one shop that said that they should be studying but made sigs and posted them anyway... 😕

A lot of members including you Khushi have been here way longer than I have...so I am not in the position to say anything. I'm on winter break so I thought i would finish up the requests I have pending...the fact that there were more requests is not my fault...i'm just here to have fun.

People please do not use others style
Think about style a min ther are tons of new styles

Image you came with a new style tomrow all are using that style what will you do

Thanks for your input, botho f you 😊 I remember you telling me about this before and I know what you mean. Pending requests need to be completed, otherwise one usually does feel bad.

I'm talking about those who are actually busy but don't stop with the competition. I'm not saying that Mahi invented it as I had seen it before on the net, but the way creations are being copied isn't fine anymore.

This topic ain't about copying but unhealthy competition and I would love to see more comments.😊

😆 sorry that's funny how ppl don't seem to understand the bigger issue here.

Guys get off the computer! Take a break! Go outside and see the sun shine!! Eat something! Or call your friend and hear their voice instead of chatting with them! Dance like no one is watching! Feel the wind blow on your face and think of all that you can do during this break and make the most of it cuz once skool starts you wont get to do all those things! Really you might actually be inspired to live life!😆

I totally agree with you. It has totally become a major competition here nowadays.. Everyone is trying to make something better than the other person, whether it be by copying them or trying to come up with something of their own. Also, and no offense to anyone here, the popular sig makers here get more attention than some other person who may be just as good as them, which also raises the competition b/c other ppl want to get the same comments as the popular sig makers.. Even if they don't succeed in getting them, it's just that 'one more try' that ruins everything, and raises competition... And, I think that the feeling of having to do better is more of a automatic feeling than by your own choosing...
