I agree with all what you wrote but the picture where Asad is holding Zoya's hand looks more like he's supporting her..instead of trying to confess..but I could be wrong!!!
His frustration at the dinner time could be a mixture of "Zoya Tanu papers talk/his failure at confessing".

OR maybe like you said, he was trying to confess in his room..and someone walked in..because it looks like they are looking at someone!
I was just thinking that Tanu might have said something mean and Zoya tries to walk away but Asad holds her hand and shows his support..just wishful thinking you see :P
