Now my take is: I still don't hate Shiv.. Ekta did mention prior to the serial getting this popular that it involved extra marital affair and the main lead should be the one who is desired by not one but two women simultaneously.. Moreover, on the Karam website, I had read that Shiv has a "volatile relationship" with Ipshita. Now, I am not trying to look for ways where he will fall in love with Gauri.. I actually hate it when in serials, the women fell in love first, then their significant others fall in love with them but then again, there is a misunderstanding or something really nasty awaiting their destiny ahead.. I'm personally sick & tired of people falling in love back and forth like it's bloody basketball bouncing in and out of the net.. And we have seen enough of that in other serials (coughs..Kasamh Se..coughs). But what I mean to say is that I actually am looking forward to see who is going to replace Shiv's character now and how he would handle Ipshita and Gauri simultaneously.. For once, I want Gauri to walk out of Shiv's life and not turn back for a second.. Even if it kills her, she should do it for the womenhood out there 😳..
So yeah.. I just wanted to tell ya guys to take it easy.. Iqbal was leaving anyways, so perhaps it is better to have a storyline like this.. I don't know how much of a co-incidence it is to have the cheater in Shiv on one hand and Iqbal leaving the show on the other.. May be it was all scripted to smooth out the transition to next phase where we would have missed Iqbal like crazy (I still don't want him gone..but too bad, and oh so very sad..).. May be it was always a part of the script (as confirmed from Ekta's interviews earlier).. But whatever it is, I want to see Shiv fall head over heels in love with Gauri for who she is and not out of pity.. I would hate to see a love originating out of "majboori".. And for that, Gauri needs to step away from Shiv's life so that Shiv can realize how much he'll miss her.. And what role she plays in his life..
For now, one thing really bothers me though.. Why would they have all those lovey-dovey looks of Iqbal, his magical dance #s, his nasheeli stares @ Gauri, his care, etc when all along he was in love? Why would he lie to Gauri in that jungle scene where she asked him point blank whether he loved anyone or not and he said, he didn't think he was in love.. Not only that, he went on to say that he didn't know what love meant anymore.. So why give Gauri all this hope only to have her stranded in an ocean of sorrow, hurt, and loneliness?? These are indeed mind-boggling questions.. Uper se why would Ipshita be so concerned about Gauri? Mana kay she wants Gauri to be there so that Shiv lives a longer life. But Ipshita ends up showing more of concern and care towards Gauri than is required.. Lotz of questions and still no answers.. So let's see how events unfold in future..
For once, I am actually able to distance myself from Iqbal's character. I was way too deep in this drama and it's good to have some closure at least.. Now I look forward to how my sweet Gauri will react and handle this news.. I would have loved to see Iqbal continue but in his absence, I will at least have Pallavi doing a kick-@$$ job!! So kudos to both from my end and long live their love (even if it remains unrequited...) 😛
P.S In all fairness, I will say it once again.. U can't blame Shiv for being in love with Ipshita.. She's been there with him all his life..and u can't help who u fall in love with anyways.. But what u can blame Shiv is for not disclosing this reality to Gauri..
