@jiyuzu: I can quite understand what you say. Definitely the pressures the society puts on us is tough to cope up with. But then, those who rise in life are those who believed they are beyond whatever the society makes them out. I tell myself two points in this area: 1) I am not to be afraid of the society when I know or believe I do something which is not harmful to anyone. 2) The society is not going to keep me out of hunger.
God punishes nobody. In fact there are many people born with many problems. The society may not be ridiculing a person who is born with deformities like blindness etc. Still I understand it is difficult to cope up being blind. Yet we know whatever be the position one is born, it is because of some purpose. But very few people get to their core purpose. Blind Milton wrote the greatest epic poem. Deaf beethoven composed great music notes. We all know how was Helen Keller. All those people came up that way because they didn't condemn God but asked God to show them their purpose of being in the Earth. What I learn is the main purpose for anyone born in the Earth is touch the life of as many people as possible with love, kindness, affection, gentleness and understanding and make a difference in the life of as many people as possible. All the purposes one can make out may be said in different ways based on the place and circumstance in which they are in. The capablity to make a difference in the life of people is very much there in anyone even as he is blind, lame or gay. People claim Leonardo Da Vinci was a gay. Yet wasn't his life highly impressive? That is because he utilized his capablity to make a difference in the life in the Earth. Whatever society says, God is above the society. A gay can surely be shown that he is as much capable of anyone else in his capability to make a difference in the life of Earth. When a person is born being a gay, blind, deaf or deformed, his main process is to show the God's love in this Earth, which some of the people in all these deformed categories have accepted also.

I would take them to babaji for blessings and tell them to get hitched as soon as possible cause I want me grandbabies.
😆 Kidding.
Seriously though, one visit to the gurudwara is mandatory.
Second, I would show them off to my friends like a boss cause I am cooland also take immense pride in embarrassing those who are close to me.
What are your reasons for the way you would react?

My best friend and my teachers have been discriminated against due to their sexual preferences. I have seen what they go through. I have received hate for being brown and a woman. I would not want the same upon anyone. I recognize my privilege (cis, hetero) and I would want my child to live in a world where they don't have to bite on their advantages, where are they are respect regardless of their biological/ genetic traits.
Watch this video, and think about it:
