The ladke waale who had come to see Prarthna rejects her bcoz of her dark skin colour. When Shashi asks them the reason the father says that Shashi knows it very well.Shashi tells that he had already forwarded the photograph wherein the father replies that there is a difference between reel and real and that they could not estimate the skin colour by looking at the photo.The mopther advises Divya to marry Prarthna off to some divorcee or some tainted guy. She says that if such a rishta comes along Divya must accept it otherwise it will be difficult to deal prarthna off!
This irks divya who thanks the lady for her advice but says she could havegiven an apt reply had she not been her guest. The guests leave off discussing Prarthna's dark skin colour and her family where they meet Aakash. He tries to inquire but they shrug off and walk away. Aakash enters the house to find all of them in a gloomy situation and asks the reason >mamji explains the whole situation and is very angry at the guests. Aakash tells that he would not let anyone see Prarthna anymore as if she is the new thing in town.Tannu and her husband try to argue the fact. The counter arguments and arguments irk Shashi who asks them to not set up their judgement boards for Prarthna. Prarthna is irked and goes upstairs and locks herself up in a room. All the people try to persuade her while Dadi condemns the social trend of insulting a girl on the pretext of marriage .Aakash tells that others may leave and he will take prarthna downstairs. Prarthna refuses from marrying anyone which irks Tannu who feels that prarthna will forever stay in this house and disturb her.
On the other hand at prarthna's house gautam's father makes cheap demands of ilaichi sharbat and all while Gautam and Poonam share a secret romantic experience where he silently places his hand over hers and says that he will take her out the next day.When poonam feels a bit shy he assures her by reminding her of their upcoming marriage.The girls tease and chat with the other guy while discussing Poonam's photos.
Aakash keeps on knocking on the door and Prarthna opens it after a long time when he assures her of everyone's absence and gives his kasam.
Prarthna repeats the chant of not marrying again. Aakash comforts her by agreeing to her proposal and says that he is not going to marry anyway as Poonam is marrying elsewhere.
He says that the sibling duo will take care of their parents and dadi together. A sad Divya overhears the conversation.
Chandu comes and informs Poonam's parents of Aakash's absence bcoz of prarthna's wedding talk.Poonam's father is delighted on hearing about Prarthna.
Poonam's father opens the gift and is amused on finding good quality presents there.
Gautam phones Poonam's mother and asks for her permission to take poonam out. Poonam's mom conveys it to her father who immediately agrees. She gives her assent to his proposal but says she has a clause. Gautam is bewildered and questions her about that.Gayatri tells that he must call her maa bcoz Poonam calls her so .Gautam agrees. Poonam's father says that by asking for permission Gautam has truly shown his sanskaars where he could simply have done without it. Gayatri is a little guilty bcoz she feels she could not pay respect to Jamuna by making Poonam wear the saree. Poonam tells that Gautam had himself backed out of the saree thing otherwise she would have worn it. She advises her mom to call Jamuna ji and clear out all qualms. Poonam's father also backs her idea. Gayatri phones gautam's house where Gautam's father picks up the phone. On asking whether Jamuna is there or not he reiterates that she would obviously be there and would definitely have not gone to the visit the fair. This reply bewilders Gayatri a little.He gives the phone to an irriatated and upset Jamuna. Gayatri apologizes to Jamuna over the phone, to which Jamuna sounds super excited and says it is a very nice thing which bewilders Gayati once again. Jamuna immediately corrects herself saying that this is not an issue. Gayatri is overwhelmed. gautam's father starts eating a tomato and asks Jamuna about the conversation wherein the latter happily replies about the apology.Gautam's father is also happy when gautam enters the house. Jamuna informs Gautam that he must look into the fact that family traditions and cultures are never overlooked as in the case of the saree though his hapiness will always be a top priority to them.Gautam apologises and promises to never repeat such mistakes in future and to always take the duo into confidence while taking important decisions.He also conveys that he want to open coaching centres outside Lucknow so he wnts the marriage to happen either earlier or later. His father says that they must go by the chat mangni pat biyah policy which pleases Gautam.AAkash''s mother is pondering in her room when his father enters.The former informs the latter that she has scooped up a strategy for prarthna's wedding and knows how to do so.AAkash overhears and is bewildered.
