Oh yes Punar VIvah ZMD has replied to all its detractors and how! We finish with a trp of 1.9 in the final week, the third most watched show on the channel. We are second in our time slot above shows like BALHand Bani and just .1 below the slot leader Veera(2.0 trps). And whats more we are in the top 10 shows too across all the channels! Hardly looks like the numbers of a show which deserved to be closed. Our trp has been higher than many popular shows, and 5 shows of Zee have lower trps than us. But it was our show that was bestowed with the "honour" of season 2, despite doing so well in a time slot which gives low trps.
But I guess PV's numbers have demonstrated what gross injustice has been done to it,and how unfairly it has been treated by Zee TV. I would have loved to have an explanation from Zee TV as to why they changed the season of a show which was third most watched on their channel and had massive fan following. But I dont think we would be getting anything like that. And may I say that I am proud of PV fans too or not losing their dignity. Yes I can see anger against channel and PH(which is justified,given unfair treatment of PV),but at least no one is targetting other Zee TV shows with lower trps or their actors. I have seen PV and its actors being targetted in the worst manner,even when our trps were better. So yes I am glad that PVians havent done anything like that and however disappointed we are let us refrain from targetting actors of any show esp PV season 2.
And last but not the least I am happy that hard work of Gurika was rewarded. They have been truly dedicated and professional despite the injustice done to them. And they have showed just how well they could have worked together if proper storyline with focus on AarYa was provided to them.But what is done is done. I just hope bigger and better things come in their way in future as they so truly deserve.Gurika have cemented their popularity.
