Indeed, Kumud is that water lily who can grow under the muck, but rise peacefully above the surface. Not only do we see this in her personality, but we also, indeed, see Saras turning into a water lily himself. He's slowly surfacing out of the muck... the internal muck in his mind, in his heart, from all of the neglect, bitterness and loneliness he's grown up in, and the external muck of his shattered family life. Seeing Saras' process of turning into a Kumud is absolutely an individual, soulful, peaceful journey. Not only are we seeing him rise above his own turmoil and sit upon it peacefully like an ever-beautiful flower, but we see a double entendre here too. As him and Kumud become one, he becomes one with his inner Kumud... the internal, ultimate rise out of his turmoil we are in the process of seeing. I am so delighted to see Saras' inner Kumud come out thanks to his equally beautiful outer Kumud 😊
