When we first heard that the makers have decided to quick start the "love" track in order to raise TRPs, I was honestly very disappointed. I dreaded the common "love scenes" and "eye-locks" but I had forgotten a very important fact ' this is after all, a Sanjay Leela Bhansali production. How can "love" in his production ever be portrayed as the mediocrity that it has become today. And of course, I am so glad that this has turned out to be no ordinary "love track."
It all started out with one utterance.. "Pyaar!" and a divine embrace of it - All this done with the backdrop of Radha and Krishna's transcendental love. A love that is beyond description and above the demand of possession. Today, they proved that this love story is worthy of the comparison and that too, with such beautiful symbolism!
Kumudsundari's love is just like the water Lily that blooms in mucky soil under the water but rises above it all and gently floats above its surface. The beauty and purity of the flower replaces the muckiness of any lake or pond. Where there's such purity, only love blossoms; there's no space for jealousy, greed, and selfishness.
Jahan vishwas ho, waha jalan nahi hoti..
Aur jahan jalan ho, waha pyar nahi..
Sirf paane ki zidd hoti hai!" ' Kumud
Reminded me of one of the most epic lines of SLB's movies'
"Tumne mujhe pyar karna sikhaaya Samir. Par pyar nibhaana meine apne Pati se sikha" ' Nandini (Hum Dil Dechuke Sanam)
SLB stories are always one step above the conventional definition of "love." It is one thing to feel the love and another to "Be" in love. It remains, forever, a part of you.
Thanks again SLB!
It seemed like Saras has always been in search of enlightenment.. And here it is.. in the form of its symbol.. Kumud - the ever radiant Water Lily :)
Yup! This one's a gonner! š
