I know that this is going to be a very unpopular opinion, but yesterday was the first time where I hoped that when Asad confesses his love to Zoya, Zoya does not instantly accept him.
We know that she loves him, and of course I hope that soon they do end up together, but Asad's bipolar behavior is really, really getting on my nerves. I could not stand him yesterday! Not because he was favoring Tanveer..and questioning Zoya..hell that makes perfect sense! He's her best friend! But because he NEVER gives Zoya a chance, EVER to explain herself. His pattern of sudden love, sudden anger, sudden douchebagness and then the sudden overwhelming guilt, is definitely not working for me.
I beg the CVs to show us that Zoya has a backbone. Because there has not been one instance where they have. Yes we know that she is smart. Yes we know that she is honest and compassionate. Yes we know that she likes to help everyone she can. But none of these things prove that she has the ability to stand up for herself, respect herself, and protect herself. Her standing upto Asad for once, maybe even letting him know that she loves him, and then rejecting him (obviously explaining to him why)..would give Asad a chance to redeem himself, and Zoya to have some self-respect.
He claims to love her, but it's like both these characters forget completely what happened a few minutes ago. I really like Qubool Hai, but this problem I have had since day 1. There is an immense lack of continuity. Even if they do something really intense and romantic, you know that it doesn't really MEAN anything, because they'll just forget about it!
I was very disappointed with the ME, and I was pretty sure Zoya was not going to hear Tanveer speaking to her doctor. I hope the pace picks up, because this track has been going on for ages! And don't even get me started on Razia's completely fake and boring antics! đĄ
