There are many who think that he is too generous with expressing his love., and actually saying that he is faking.. Buy I guess people just don't want to like him.
Here is man who was tied down by his ego, unable to express his feelings. And we all have witnessed how strongly he felt for her. He controlled himself multiple times earlier.. Not gonna recall all of these again.
Now that he let his guard down and expressed his feelings once, it's easier to express his love to her time and again. He controlled his feelings for a long time and now he has an outlet for his long suppressed feelings.
All those selfish talks we witnessed and detested to the core were a result of his inadequacy to express his love for her, and that's why he was coming across as a jerk. But once he expressed himself, he is back to his saner self.

I understand that him being egoistic is his biggest vice. But we have to understand that for people who have lived with n for their ego all their life, it's not easier to break the shackles n turn a new leaf overnight.

I see that people say that all character have a bad childhood, so why he is given leeway, n not others. I never buy his bad childhood stories, but all those who are mature enough or have seen life knows that childhood trauma is worse in 10-14 yr age group.
Here is a child with a perfect life, doting parents, all riches n luxuries.. And then he loses his fathers acc to him his mom as well. That age group doesn't adjust well to such changes in life.. Hence more damage.

Madhu had a normal childhood.she just had heard bad stories. Trishna was petrified ad a 5 yr old.. But later had a normal childhood with all love n affection. The fact that she is a step daughter continued to bother her n we ve witnessed that..

Bhai was on streets since 8 yrs of age, and grew up with people who were equally unfortunate n in the same boat.. So no psychological issues but that explains his choice of profession..

So everyone else has manifested their responses to kind of things they were exposed to.. But only RK is targeted but damage to him occurred at the most vulnerable age group.


Sorry to go off topic. But wanted to get this out of my mind.. No intentions to offend anyone who thinks otherwise.

@bold: I think its more like people fell in love with him along with Madhu and he kind of broke their heart along with hers..they are scared to trust him again..take that leap of faith
they have trust issues like he does
and I am talking about those who dont trust him genuinely for his actions and not those who dislike or rather refuse to like him anymore because they like someone else more

I would say, in addition to the age (which no doubt plays an important role), its the individual ability to cope that matters aswell
RK couldn't cope with the sudden change and that is not something that can be held against him..
I will never say it justifies what he did to her..but it does explain why he would think of doing it to her and go ahead with his plan

Yes! What he did can't be undone. But he can be given a chance. And that chance is only possible of she stays in his proximity. This marriage will give security to both. As the extraneous factors are not favorable for them.
Madhu will have something to base her trust on and he will be more secure. The circumstances are not in their favor. Having said that I feel that he needs to give more space to her, which I'm sure he will after he gets over his insecurity..
There is a lot if damage done, but as they say love conquers all.. 😊
