The Mumbai Crime Branch have arrested Bollywood actor Vindoo Dara Singh in connection with bookies in the ongoing IPL 2013 spot-fixing scandal. Vindoo is the son of late Dara Singh.
News channel Times Now reported that Vindoo was pulled up by the police for possibly acting as a conduit between players and bookie Ramesh Vyas.
Vyas is the person who connected bookies in India with those in places like Dubai and Pakistan. The Crime Branch told Times Now that Vyas has his office in Kalbadevi, Mumbai, where he ran an "international telephone exchange".
