Aashiqui 2- Never thought this movie would even do more than above average business but being a blockbuster in mind blowing. Maybe ARK is the new Emraan for Vishesh films, no no not as a replacement to the "serial kisser" tag, but theyre main USP with their music also for future films. Its always nice to have a good production house thatll back you up for new stars, and ARK is the brightest new star in 2013.
Chashme Baddoor- Thought this movie would be average at best, but super hit was a stunner. Still need to see it but I didnt expect much after how badly Do Knot Disturb did even though it had Dhawans usual Govinda in it.
Race 2- Im shocked that the movie didnt make more money. Some websites show that it crossed 100 crore, some say it barely missed it. It was a complete craptastic film, dont get me wrong, but it had all the ingredients to become the highest grossing film of the 1st half of 2013 by far. It still is, but I think YJHD will top it easily.
Saw it coming:
Himmatwalas trailer looked atrocious, and Sajid Khan should be ashamed for even considering to make such a film, let alone going ahead and making it! Ajay Devgn does not look cool romancing with girls that could be his daughters. He looks older than his years in most movies.
Go Goa Gone- Im sure the movie was well made, and usually when Saif is the producer his, script sense for his home productions are very safe, however this one I saw it coming from miles away. India just isnt ready for this kind of film, not in 2013 atleast.
Special 26- Amazing film, the script couldve been a bit tighter, it gets a bit "boring" at certain points but otherwise fantastic story, acting by everyone especially Manoj, Anupam and of course Akki. However, unlike most I didnt see this movie make a lot of money. The money it made seemed right for the content, if not for Akki this movie would not even have been a semi hit.
