I don't think he is faking. Munna is using his mental friend somehow. Maybe Manish wale addu ka mental aggression mohan pe channelise kardiya and thats why he hates mohan without any reason.
I think i just cracked it .Munna will tell Megha that Mohan brought fake addu to get and WIN Megha back . And everyone will say that is why this addu did not remember.Renu will again taunt Mohan and Megha will hate him more.
