A friend who saw the film recently told me to pick up the DVD of Little Manhattan.

And what a cute film it proved to be! The movie is about pre-teens and innocent first love.

Set in Manhattan, there is this 10-year-old boy who bumps into his kindergarten classmate, a 11-year-old girl.

He is one little boy — his parents are in the throes of a divorce and there is that trauma, but in the company of this girl, he experiences something distinct. Is he in love with her? It's one of those oh-so-sweet films about youngsters.
