About Star One Show: Hotel Kingston aired on Star One

Set against the backdrop of a hotel, this is Shelly and Vish's love story. Shelly Sahai, is an NRI and international photo journalist. She is forced by circumstances to take up the challenge of re-inventing her legacy, a hotel handed down to her by her father.

On her journey of self-discovery, she encounters Vishwamitra Kelkar (Vish), a young man from a small town with a dark past, who not only aids her transition from a girl to a woman, but also becomes her guide and her mentor, helping her unravel the labyrinth that is the hotel.

From initial friction and simmering hate, love slowly blossoms between the two. Vish, a reluctant, laid back guy, spurs up to meet the challenge head on... from resurrecting the hotel to wooing the girl.

Its my favourite....... I just love the show... and the lead pair.

It is my favourite serial too. I wait the whole week to watch this serial....i think the story and the background are very unique, and vish's & shelly's chemistry is divine....at the same time, the serial is very well researched when it comes to showing the details that are involved in the management of a hotel.

a great show, but very understated i think...have you people noticed the difference in the number of times promos of serials like remix or special squad and promos of hotel kingston are aired on star one??? i think serials such as remix (no offence meant to remix fans), though quite entertaining are overadvertised and overhyped, more so when they are aired 5-days a week for 1 hour everyday!!

I think the star one team should also give hotel kingston its well deserved importance and should be promoted likewise...

I agree with you Divya... But then Remix has a whole range of viewers from school children to adults and therefore, more popular than other serials like Hotel Kingston. I have seen several promos of Hotel Kingston, but yes, a lil more publicity could do wonders to this show.

The whole concept is so different and refreshing thats is a great relief to watch Vish and Shelly and enjoy and savour their romance than seeing the endless and mindless sagas on other channels. Hotel Kingston is young, its vibrant, its youth... its romantic, its got the whole gamut of emotions in it and the concept of hotel management and the setting of the management in a hotel being novel and different has appealed to everyone.

Hope the powers to be in Star One are reading this and do soemthing for their loyal fans...

specially Vish and Shelly.....their attitudes....and later they develop a soft corner for each other and story is set against a new and refreshing background....Hotel Kingston
