Karan Sharma who essays the role of Sunny in Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta (Balaji Telefilms) is on cloud nine as he has finally managed to take time off to fly to his native place Dehradun.Says the actor, "I have not been home for a year now. In between, I had gone to Dehradun for a friend's wedding, but could manage to spend only two hours with my family as my track was on then inPavitra Rishta. I am glad that I have been able to get an off for 10 days now. I had informed my production house way in advance, that I would not be available for shoot around the third week of May (2013). I will be flying on 22 May and will return around 3 June."The actor continues, "My mother has not been keeping good health, so it is my responsibility as a son to spend ample time with her. Work is worship, but at the end of the day, one needs to spend time with family too."Elaborating on his trip, Karan avers, "It used to be tough going to my place in Dehradun earlier as the area we live in was under-developed then. But now, the place is very much developed and the airport is actually a five minutes drive from my house. So that saves quite a lot of time and travelling."On his track inPavitra Rishta, he states, "Well, I am enjoying playing the role of Sunny. I hope my track opens up even more post my holiday."Karan, have a jolly good time at home.
