Wow this really got me thinking ... So Here's what I think

I feel that both Saras and Kumud have an emotional bond which binds them together.

Saras first got a glimpse of Kumud or rather her presence during the webcam scene and Kumud had already seen his eyes in her mystical dream. I find that Kumud had realized the emotional connection when she had seen his eyes in that picture that failed to load completely. And his actual presence in Ratnanagri, in her house made her feelings all the more stronger. Plus with her ego involved in this equation made her all the more hurt from Saras's rejection.

Saras on the other hand was introduced as an introverted character that kept to himself. So as viewers we did not get to interpret him with ease. But during the Uttrayan Episode Saras mentions that "Aisi kya kashish hai uski awaaz main jo main sab kuch bhula kai uski aur khicha chala jhata hoon?". At this point as viewers we realized that his connection with Kumud has much more depth than that meets the eye. However, Saras was still seeking answers. Then in the Kite catching Scene when their eyes locked for the first time he mentioned that "awaaz yahan tak layi mujhe par aankhen .." With this dialogue the viewers were left in awe as they had shared their very first scene acknowledging the presence of the other completely. And like you said I too felt that the way they looked into eachother's eyes one could sense that passion or the "benam rishta" that they shared. Hence I would conclude it was definitely love at first site. But as the episodes progressed and the layers of the story were revealed .. I found that they were attracted towards one another and enjoyed each others presence due to that emotional connect (But neither was aware of this connection they shared).

In the MahaEpisode with the GAU HATYA, Both Kumud and Sars's misunderstandings of the others ego and selfishness were rectified. Kumud realized Saras was a very selfless individual for sacrificing for her family's mistake and Kumud's support and unconditional trust toward Saras helped him realize that he was wrong about her. I feel that the Gau Hatya episode was a breaking point in their journey to LOVE.

Then with each preceding episode from there after we got to see scenes where they did selfless deeds for one another without letting the counterpart know about them. But within the next episode or two light had been casted on their deeds helping both Saras and Kumud realize how true and caring they both were. Also in the episode where Saras comes across the sketch of his eyes in Kumud's room (which is lent to him temporarily) he does not realize the significance of the sketch. But with Kumari's explanation and revelation of His eyes making a cameo appearance in Kumud's dream he realizes why his rejection had hurt her so much. He realized that this hurt was way above her ego, as it had an emotional connection.

Overall, I find that it would have to be the Gau Hatya Episode where both Kumud and Saras are sitting together under the tree having dinner. This is where cupid struck the two with his arrow. I remember that dialogue Saras said along the lines that "When you are with me I have no worries. Dil ko ek sukoon sa milta hai." Well, What was the reason for this Saras Babu? Little did he know he just got struck by cupid's arrow. And our tez taraar Kumud Sundari was just too adamant in performing what is righteously her Patni Dharam to fill her future Pati Dev's stomach to care about her hunger.

So, Gau waalon .. Agar yeh pyaar nahin hai toh aur kya hai ?

OMGG Yours right Toni :) Yes how can I forget that scene where he said "Jaanta hoon kaka ke yeh mera parivaar hai" and the look he gave to Kumud at that moment and the way they looked at each other .. oh god I almost died !!!! You are right it has to be that moment because he had this relief when she entered the scene with food that she was on his side.. her entrance in the scene reminded him of how she stood up for him against her family in front of all the gau waalon .. 😳

... This show has such beautiful dialogues and screenplay .. they should sell the entire series on DVD I will totally buy it lol !!

Kumud fell in love with the guy of her dreams, later knew the guy exists who is Saras. May be her love started in her dreams and became real for her.

Saras felt guilty at first, for writing the rejection letter to Kumud, he wanted to apologize. While searching for her details, he saw her kamar...You it was love at first sight of her Kamar🤣

Jokes apart, he was curious to see her face when he came to Ratnagiri, and when he saw her face. When he saw her face, he kind of got attracted to her, but it was her values and attitudes that dragged him to her.

They both look into life at the same angle, that is where they both meet.
