Part 18:

As they walk along, Aisha slowly voices, "mujhe ek aur wish hai….kya aap poora karenge?""

Sameer looks to her side and replies casually, "yeah of course….bolo na"

Before Aisha could speak out, Shree and Chotu come in search of them….So she stops speaking further and then they are waded back into the hall….

She gestures to him, "baadh mein baat karenge" and he nods…..

All were pleased to see the couple back and also to see that they were quite normal…..

Yes, the team including Arjun was a little eager to know what transpired between them and if the problem was sorted out whatever it was…….Arjun was just anxious about his friend and he wished that there were no problems in his personal and love life!

But none openly enquired anything to them…..Though Sakshi, Shree, Chotu and Liza made passing glances and asked few taunting questions to Aisha, they chose not to make things more awkward to her letting her and Sameer enjoy the party!

They knew well that Aisha herself open up to them once she was comfortable with it…

Aisha and Sameer left the party soon after the dinner….

As they drive to Aisha's home, Sameer voices, "so bathao….kya kehna chahthi thi?"

Aisha: kab???

Sameer: tum apne wish ke baare mein batha rahi thi na? kya hai?

Aisha: [hesitantly] haan ek wish hai par aap gussa toh nahi honge na?

Sameer: aisa kya wish karne waali ho?? [shaking his head amused] anyways, humaare beech kya formality Aisha?…..go on…..I promise, main gussa nahi karunga!

Aisha: I want to see you back with your best friend Sameer…..

Sameer: [flaring up] Aisha..[mellows down remembering his promise to her] tum…

Aisha cuts him short, "Sameer….I know aap dono ke beech kuch badi problem hai parr kisi bhi friendship ya relationship mein problems hoti hai parr isska matlab yeh nahi ke woh rishta hi khatam kar diya jaaye…"

Sameer: tum humaare beech ke problem jaanthi nahi ho….aur isiliye yeh sab keh rahi ho Aisha…..

Aisha: haan jaanthi nahi hoom….aur aap dono ke personal baatein jaan ne ki ziddh bhi nahi karungi…..bas itna kahungi ke ek problem ke wajeh se itna special friendship ko khoyiye matth….[Sameer turned to her side when she said that and she added] yes Sameer, I mean it…..Your friendship is very special…..and unique!

Kyun ki aap dono ke beech ke ladaayi mein bhi ussme chupa hua dhosti, apnapann aur care dikhta hai…uss concern aur affection ko mehsoos kiya hai maine….ek accha dhost milna iss duniya mein sabse difficult baat hai……aur jab aap dono ke paas aise ek khaas dhosti hai usse kho matth dijiye….such friendships are a blessing Sameer…..usse aise phek dena…nahi aisa matth kijiye, plzz…

Sameer: [thinking]haan main usska care kartha hoom…..aur kartha rahunga parr ussne jo galathi kiya hai usse maaf karna iss janam mein possible nahi hai Aisha…..uss galathi ki kheemat hum dono ko chukaani padhi…agar ussne apni patni ko khoya, maine bhi apni pyari si behen ko khoya hai! Roshni meri friend, meri behen sab kuch thi…..

Aisha took a deep breath and then voiced after a few minutes of silence "main nahi jaanthi ke Arjun sir ne kya galathi ki jisske wajeh se yeh sab hua….parr itna zaroor samajthi hoom ke jo bhi hua anjaane mein hua hoga….."

Sameer looked at her enquiringly, "jaane ya anjaane….kya farq padtha hai Aisha?…..jo hua usse hum kabhi bathal nahi sakthe na?? Roshni ko waapas nahi laa sakthe na?"

Aisha didn't reply to any of those because she knew he was right…nothing can undo death and bring Roshni back into their lives…..

So she just shot back one question, "kal agar mujhse anjaane mein koyi galathi hui toh kya aap mujhe bhi chodh denge…..jaisa aapne apne dhost ko choda tha?"

Sameer was baffled by her question……what was she forcing him to think? That one question literally made him go back on his thoughts and rethink his firm decisions….

Aisha patted his hands gently to calm him down…..she knew that her question would have left him with a confused state of mind…it would have moved him off his track…so she voiced out….."I know it's a tough question but don't worry…I wont press you for an answer….."

A silence set in for the remaining drive…..Sameer's thoughts were only pondering over Aisha's question….maybe she was right….or perhaps something in it was enough to make him feel guilty of abandoning his friend at a time when his friend needed him the most…..perhaps he acted too impulsive and jumped into such a drastic decision! Perhaps he acted like a coward and a escapist who just ran away from the pain of death by just dumping all the blames on his friend and putting up a false pretence that it was all because of Arjun! Within deep, didn't he already know that it wasn't Arjun's fault? Yes, may be, he knew it already but he was stubborn not to acknowledge or realize it!

Aisha could read Sameer's thoughts…..she never meant to hurt him by all that…she only wanted him to get back to his friend as she knew that Sameer missed Arjun as much as Arjun missed his Sam……Both friends required each other and essentially needed a push from someone to get back to their good old friendship!

Aisha knew that they would never take an initiative on their own to revive their friendship…..she knew that both were dead stubborn and adamant…….and egoistic to the maximum extent that they would never bent down a little any day!

Realizing the nature of the ever hot headed cops, she decided to take up that task on herself and tried to take every possible step towards it…

This wish of hers was also a step towards it……

She knew Sameer loved her so much that he could never say no to her for this wish of hers…..and even though he didn't give a positive answer to this, she knew that he will definitely come around…

But at the moment, she wanted him to become cool…..she didn't want him to stress himself too much thinking about what she said and asked…..

So she cleared her throat to grab his attention and tried to switch the topic to lighten his burdened mind…."waise aap bohat acche gaate hai…….I loved it!"

Sameer snapped out of his thoughts and turned to her…..he could read her mind and intentions well……He exactly knew that she wanted to ease him off the tension that she herself had triggered off in his mind…….He smiled and replies, "tumhe pasand aaya?"

Aisha: of course……bohat accha gaana tha….its one of my all time favorites….aur aapke andaaz ne toh usse aur bhi khaas banaaya…

Sameer grinned and enquired slowly, "aur proposal? Woh kaisa tha? Did you like it?"

Aisha replied in a lost voice, "out of the world tha Sameer…..koyi aur ladki hoti toh khushi se paagal ho jaathi…..aapko hug karthi aur instantly haan bolthi na? maine sab kuch mess up kar diya…sorry Sameer…..I hurt you"

Sameer had to agree that he was hurt by her sudden exit from there but he couldn't deny the fact that the honesty with which Aisha had confessed to him all her insecurities and problems had literally melted and floored him…..Wasnt that what he loved in her too? The honesty, the frankness, the open minded attitude, the sincerity in everything she did, her dedication…..yes it was all those which made him fall crazily in love with her!

He replied, "mujhe koyi paagal ladki nahi chahiye Aisha…..i only need you…..and I can only love you!"

He pulled up the SUV near her place as he said that and placed his hand on hers, squeezing it gently to assure her of his love…..

She looked at their hands together and smiled "I love you too Sameer….hum humesha aisa hi saat honge na?"

Sameer closed his eyes and gestured voicing out "Always!"

Pulling her hands to himself, he naughtily voiced to lighten the situation, he pecked her knuckles, "ek aur catch me if you can game ho jaaye"

Aisha smiled and looked away shyly, "ab usski koyi zaroorat nahi hai….kyun ki…I know aap hi jeethenge aur main haar jaavungi……."

Sameer: bina khele hi haar maan li tumne, huh?

Aisha: [looking into his eyes intently and as if in a trance] haan kyun ki aapse haarna mujhe manzoor hai Sameer…..

Both looked at each other and the eyes met turning the night into a magical one almost instantly!
