The best idea just struck me...(So sue me for being slow😆) but I am gonna get the four parts and start reading...so next week I will be armed and ammunitioned to draw parallels along with you😃
Oh yes, the rain scene was the jubilation of love...both immersing themselves into the purest feeling of them all...I actually was so worried that Jenny would slip while skipping on the wet floor😆
@bold...that is one perfect way to put it..and Jenny was epic in that one moment that was almost suspended in air...and slowly as if afraid to break that dream, she embraces him back...finally he is hers...those eyes she devoured were looking at her with love! 😳
@ bold,
That's a great news, Shrushti. As I told you, identifying parallels in between original and a vastly altered adaption is quite a fun. But, at the same time, speaking on them in a non responsive room is like speaking to wall. To have a fellow reader is an excellent motivator. Though, I would like to remind you here that its not an easy read. Plus, in our busy schedules, to explore such a complex writing, so generously embellished with poetry, Sanskrit or even much obscure Gujarati words, usages etc. all these may test a strong resolve. Speaking on personal exp. I am going quite slow. And at the moment have been stuck up on Book 2; Gunsundari. And so far, along with the story, even Language is mesmerising. I feel simply exhilarated at rediscovering, strength of Gujarati; its vast vocabulary, astounding lucidity, extra ordinary capacity to conceptualise and describe a vast gamut of Ideas. Just Superb! Taking up reading in mother tongue after a long time is a hugely satisfying experience. So Srushti, do embark on the novel. It enriches the plunger. I assure you.
P.s. if you want the address of the bookshops, I can suggest, they can courier...
In bet'n, had missed today's episode as we were out on dinner with the friends. So wont be able to add anything on it...so long!
