Nupur and other females

Ok, I know most people here think Nupur is really irritating, what with her constant "Meera is horrible" chant, but apart from that, I actually happen to like her.

She is a go getter, wants to be able to stand on her own two feet, which is necessary in this world, and is fiercely loyal to those she loves (as seen with Nandini). She defies Balraj in her own secret way. I think Meera will be instrumental in getting her to stand up for herself completely, but Nupur has taken the first steps by herself, which, when Balraj is the big boss, is commendable.

Characters who really annoy me are Pallavi and the other girl. Pallavi is gossipy, loud, overly judgemental, and all around, is of no help to anyone - not herself, her husband, her sisters, bhabhi... The other girl, her character has not been expanded upon, so we'll have to wait and see...

I agree on the point Nupur will make her way up in her career. She has the support of Biji and Biji will continue to help her if ever she needs it.

Being bitter about Meera's presence - well the entire family is against that, except for children who are not aware of the situation - it's just rest of the family is not in a position to voice their opinion. So they abide by Balraj's rule of taking care of her.

Not everyone thinks Nupur as what you described. From the beginning I like her and actor who playes that role is doing good job in playing it. She's beautiful.

Pallu di is Nupur's older sister, she does not have perfect life and she has to suffer insult from her family , mainly her father. Because of it she advises her younger sis so that Nupur won't get into trouble. She's speaking her mind and explaining things from her POV. It's an advise - taking it and ignoring it is really up to Nupur.

Dipika, Anuja and lil Rimi are interesting whenever they come on screen. Each of these girls has something interesting to say - as far as dialogue is concerned.

Nupur was only irritating to me those initial episodes after Meera's relationship was revealed. It also had to do with how the actress overdid it with her delivery.

I like Nupur now. To be honest, no one really annoys me in this show.

Pallavi is gossipy and also passed/passes judgments, but she never annoyed me.

I love how grown up in Asthana family she still has a different thinking process and wants to be independent!! Love her courage! 👏

I don't have a problem with nupur's character I have a problem with her voice
It's so annoying
I hope the actress gets replaced soon because this is not the role for her
Her acting isn't necessarily bad but her voice -,-

Athi / likarsh, agree fully with what you saying about all the girls. CVs have to have a team member who has done in depth analytical psychological study of so many female characters, ranging quite a bit in their ages, to know exactly how and when / what they should say or not say, do or not do. 'nuff!😆

Like likarsh no one irritates me one bit. They are enacting their individual roles the best way they know how. But yes, Pallu knowing her age, can be and is immature, childish, gossipy. She doesn't really feel good about herself coz of the way hubby is humiliated / insulted at every turn by paapi papa. So just whiles away her time in doing almost nothing worthwhile, like Shyama does.

Pallu has hubby's love but not loving support from ghar jamai like Shyama does. Support goes a long way, methinks, in building, evolving, transforming any relationship.

Granted Shyama being DIL has to act certain way, and is expected to, but her wonderful husband and the way he loves her (esp today's epi), supports her in literally any/everything, believes in her. And so she is just so positive, sees no flaw in anybody, not even amma, or meera, even praises sasu behind her back.

Nupur: Several days ago I was discussing in a pm about Nupur ever since I noticed positive changes almost quite suddenly in her acting / tonal quality / maturity level / eye movement etc, compared to previous screaming voice / accent not very accurate, borderline immaturity. This is the epi when she was talking to didi Pallu about why women are given stepmotherly treatment, why all rules apply only to women, never to men, why men practically get away with murder, while women have been ostracized over the centuries and have no say in the society.

I was taken aback when I heard her talk with so much confidence in her voice that she even appeared badi than didi pallu. I even thot of opening a thread on this "issue". Maybe one day.

And like qweztion1 says, fiercely loyal to bhabhi Nandini and seems to have the wherewithal to stand up for what she believes in, will even eye papa and question him, but of course to no avail. Who has the guts to face him much less interrupt / question him? No one, not even Beeji, even though Beeji threatened him at least more than once. But for some reason cant go beyond that point, not yet anyway.
