Rasums in order?

hey!


What the real thing that is stated in Islam is to have a simple wedding.. what I mean is, theres nothing wrong stated in having a big grand wedding,.. what is said by a simple wedding so the poor people or people who can't afford to have big weddings don't feel left out or whatever, and there is no dowry in Islam.. What I know is you're not even suppose to give dowry in the first place... it also burdens people that can't afford to give dowry, and some don't end up getting their daughters married because sometimes guys ask for too much and parents can't afford it.

Botttom line about ^^^ is that, a simple wedding and no dowry is encouraged. But you don't get sinned or whatever if you give dowry or have a big wedding lol nothing at all wrong with that. What is said is.. don't make it compulsry for people to have big weddings and give so much dowry since some people can't afford it and therefore.. don't get their children married because of that (in places like india/pakistan etc.)

Anyways since thats cleared LOLLL


What happens is; All the parts include food, partying, dance(dance part depends on the families.. some people do it some people don't but MOSTLY like now a days there is dance for sure in mehendi and other ones yeah u party and dance whatever, but majority of dancing is in the mehendi)

1) First Engagement

2)Then Mehndi/Sangeet (2 in 1)

3)Then Nikaah (the whole getting married part lol signing papers etc. saying QUBOOL HAI :P, the baraat happens today)

4) Walima - After Nikaah.. so you're at your husbands house now lmao (so the guys side has a part for everyone and theres food, music, dance etc. But the main thing about Walima is to throw a party and have lots of foood for alll the guests. Main thing u need here is food LMAO :P)


Thats the Muslim Indian/Pakistani way (like people from india/pakistan) ^^ I have experienced it myself since I have been to a lot of indian/pakistani muslim weddings! SO I know lol


Anyways, and some people just do straight Nikaah and then Walima. But I really haven't seen anyone or been to a wedding where there is only a Nikaah and then Walima lol

Yeah there you have it!



AND!

What I mean by a simple wedding in Islam is; An Engagement/Nikaah or go straight to Nikaah + Walima (if you can afford it)


ALSO, THIS IS WHAT I KNOW & AM NOT AN EXPERT IN RELGION OR ANYTHING. THIS IS WHAT I KNOW & HAVE EXPERIENCED & HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF FROM VARIOUS SOURCES. The simple wedding in Islam is what I know of. So yeah lol just wanted to make that clear :)
