Taani's P.O.V.

I wake up the next morning with an aching headache. Reaching, to the side, I pick up my clock and look at it. 8:30 am. SHIT.

I jump out of bed and run to the washroom. Without looking in the mirror, I slip into the shower and start to wash my body. I reach for my face and feel some crust on it. The events of last night flash through me.

A fresh tear drop rolls down my eyes, mixing with the crust of the old ones. I still can't believe Rey would play with someone's feelings like that. Anger burns through my veins. I harshly rub my skin and feel it burn.

After a quick shower, I turn the water off and wrap my towel around me. I walk to my closet and open it. I rummage through my clothes. I can't wear my old clothes. From today onwards, it was new me. New Taani. After digging through my closet, I finally find a dress and put it on.

I look into the mirror and smile at myself. It's not that hard to see that my eyes are swollen and have no glow in them but I try my best to cover it up with make-up.

I walk out of my room and into the kitchen where I see bhai eating breakfast. Ignoring him, I walk to the fridge, pull out milk and put it on the burner to warm it up.

While my milk is warming, I walk to the table and sit down beside bhai. He looks up for a second and then looks back down but then his eyes shoot up again. He stands up from his seat and looks at me in surprise.

"Taani what are you wearing?" he asks.

"A dress.." I say confused

"I know that, but why?"

"Cause I wanted to." I say a bit more bitterly than it was intended to be. His expression drops and he awkwardly sits back down in his seat.

I feel bad, so I put my hand on his and smile at him. "Hey bhai, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say it like that."

His expression changed from hurt to anger and he harshly pulls his hand from under mine. "Go Away, I don't want to talk to you."

I smile bigger at his childish behavior. I go behind him and put my arms around his neck. "Are you mad at me?"

"Yes."

"Aw, Bhai, Look I said sorry na? Don't be mad. And Hey shouldn't I be mad at you? You're the one who left me and supported your friends?" I joke lightly but I feel his body tense and I realize he thinks I actually mean it.

"Kidding bhai, I love you." I kiss his cheek and go back to sit beside him.

"I love you too Taani. Now tell me, where were you last night." My smile drops and I guess he sees the change in expression because his face instantly turns worried.

"What happened taani?" he asks concerned.

"Uhm bhai, uh, Rey uhm" I say, not knowing how to tell him. I don't want to ruin bhai and Rey's friendship.

"What did Rey do?"

"Nothing, just Rey and I broke up." I don't even get to look at him, because he pulls me into a hug. In his arms, I let myself lose all self-control and just cry. He tightens his grip on me and I feel some sense of comfort.

"Shh, Shh Taani, it's okay. I'll talk to Rey. Don't worry." He says while rubbing my back. I pull out of the hug and wipe my tears.

"No bhai, it's over. There's nothing to talk about so please don't bring it up in college." I beg him.

He pulls me into another hug. "Alright don't worry."

Suddenly, I smell something burning and I know he smells it too because he pulls out of the hug and looks around.

SHIT. My milk. I run to the gas and turn it off. I take a towel and start flapping it up and down. Bhai comes beside me and starts doing the same thing. After a while, the smoke dies down and I'm totally out of breath.

"Oh Taani," He looks at me seriously and we both burst out laughing. It feels good to laugh again. Since my relationship with Rey, bhai and my friends had gone on a downward spiral, I had forgotten what it felt like to laugh.

"C'mon let's go to college. I'll buy you something in the canteen." Bhai says.

"Only on one condition"

"What?"

"You have to come with me in our new car and YOU have to drive it."

His smile disappears but before he can reply, I say. "and please don't say that it's just my car. Who cares if Tauji gave it to me? I'm giving to you. Therefore this car is ours. Let's go."

I grab his hand and run to the car. I make him sit in the front and we drive off to school. Getting to St. Louis, we go straight to the RH. As I reach the door, I hesitate a little.

I can't face him. I can't do this. I'm about to turn around when bhai grabs my hand and literally drags me into the Rehearsal hall. I sigh out of relief when I don't see Rey there but I also feel worried.

"Hey Taani." The gang says in sync. I look at Sharon and she just looks away. I feel bad because she shouldn't feel guilty. She didn't do anything. I walk up to her and tap her shoulder. "Hi Sharon." I say with a big smile.

She looks at me confused and I shake my head answering her un asked question. She smiles "Hey Taani."

"Ok, now that Swayam and Taani are also here. Where is Rey?" Vicky asks. I feel my heart flutter when I hear his name.

I look up to see the whole gang except bhai and Sharon staring at me. "What?"

"Do you know where Rey is?" Nil asks.

"Why would I know where he is?" I say trying to sound as normal as possible, even though I was breaking inside.

"Uhm, because Rey is Taani's boyfriend na," Neha says and I feel like someone's stabbed my heart. I try to keep myself composed. I look at Bhai and he's about to say something when I put my hand up to stop him. He sighs and drops his head.

"Ex." I whisper quietly, yet still audible for everyone in the rehearsal hall to hear.

The gang shoots their head in my direction shocked. "What types?" Aashi says.

I take a deep breath and again say, this time a little louder. "Ex- boyfriend."

Before the gang can react, we hear a shuffling sound coming from the door of the RH. Everyone looks at the doorway and I'm blown away by what I see.

The cool, calm and collected Rey was replaced by what seemed to be a hung over bum. His usually stylish hair was sticking up in tufts going every which way, his eyes were blood shot making his normally vivid grey eyes appear lackluster and fatigued. His religiously shaved face was scruffy and his clothes were wrinkled, and if I'm not mistaken the same as he had worn yesterday.

But even with all of this, he somehow made my heart rate pick up to a gallop, causing it to trip and stumble a few times in the process. I pressed on my feelings and put on a face.

"Where were you? The D3 team has been waiting for ages. No-body here gets paid to dance with you okay? So don't think you're doing any of us a favour by being here." I try to make my voice sound as cold as possible.

Rey looks at me and his eyes portray so many more feelings. I can see his pain in his eyes. I bit my lower lip and curl my hand into a fist to prevent myself from going there and hugging him. When we shake out of the trance, Rey whispers a quiet sorry.

I nod and start walking towards the door. "Taani" I hear Rey's voice weakly call me. Ugh, why does he have to do this to me? I turn around and look at him. "Yes Reyaansh?"

He looks like I've just punched him in the face. "You're going to call me Reyaansh now?"

"Well, isn't that your name, Reyaansh Singhania?" I shoot back.

"Yeah, but you've always called me Rey." He says agonizingly

"Well, that was before I found out who you really are. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go." I turn around and rush out of the RH before I can see his face. Because I know if I see his face, I won't be able to keep up this act. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So how was it? I hope you guys like it. But after watching today's episode, I'm certain there is going to be a break-up even after Rey said he doesn't want to break up. Desperately waiting for the break up 😳
