Lightening struck the sky, brightening the dark surrounding... nature conspiring...and their emotions playing with them. The wind danced...and then the thunder... like celebrating togetherness. None realised when their lips met...crushing into one... making them realise how much they had missed each other. It was excruciating... yet it was soft... it was passionate...yet it was filled with love...it was wild yet it was the most tender touch of love. Their love was esoteric...but then it was a paradox as well...!
It took her some time to make herself believe that what was now was true. She felt his lips softly trying to play with hers... kiss her so tenderly, making her realize she was his. She closed her eyes and let herself sink into the feel. She didn't even realize that she was breathless. She slowly opened her eyes only to see him looking at her, lost. She blinked a couple of times and felt him trailing his thumb over her lips softly. She felt so overwhelmed with his touch... so contended... she just went closer and hugged him. he lifted her up in his arms and got her inside. She was just lost in him... she was still reeling over the facts of life...he was right with her...showering all his love, care and concern on her...still it felt like a dream... a dream that she never wanted to come out of.
He placed her on her feet when they reached their bedroom, "change your clothes geet..."
He saw the kids sleeping...they must be tired after all the fun they might have had. He watched her take her change of clothes and vanish into the washroom. He sighed and took off his waist coat and then his shirt. The meeting was tiresome. He just wanted to crash on the bed and sleep. He opened the cupboard when he felt her hug him from the back. Her bare arms slid right over his broad chest, making his head spin. He stiffened for a while, trying to hold himself.
"did you have your food?", he heard her ask him. her head rested over his shoulder as she pressed herself closer.
"ummm...had it there itself..did you all have fun?", he spoke as he continued with his work. He so much wanted to turn back and kiss her senseless...claim her as how he wanted to..but he stopped himself. The kids were sleeping right on the bed beside. She just held him like that for a while, feeling him. this is what she had always wished for... just to be with him...thats it! she wanted nothing more...nothing less.
He was done with his work and turned back to her and pulled her close. He sat on the bed and made her sit on his lap! Thats when he marked her wearing her shorts and a sleeveless tight fit top. He checked her out from top to bottom and then just laughed being reminded of something.
"why are you laughing?", she twitched her brows.
"nothing...", he tried to suppress his laughter. Anyone would say she looked really hot in that but for him. she was just his 'old geet'...she did whatever she liked to... like a free bird...she did everything of her own free will. His speculation suddenly seemed wrong... she was not that womanly and that made him laugh.
He looked at her making faces. He just wrapped his hands around her waist, "so..since your best friend cum nautanki roops is back... how was it with her? did you enjoy?"
She stood up abruptly, "shit man... I told her I'll be sleeping with her tonight..."
Maan's eyes widened with her words, "geet...shhh...kids are sleeping!!!"
"ohh ok ok...see am late because of you... am going bye... ", and she ran out.
He smiled seeing her being herself. Before he could think anything else, he felt her lips over his cheek for a second and then she was gone. He kept looking towards the door for a while and shook his head. He freshened up and lied beside dia and dozed of immediately.
Geet ran to roops who stood by the window, looking out.
"sorry...sorry...late ho gayi...", she literally fell on roops. Jasmeet knew if these two sleep together, she wont be getting a minute's sleep. Hence she decided to sleep with dadima for the night. roops snapped and sat on the bed.
"roops...naraz hain kya??? Arrey I was waiting for maan...", she went and sat beside her.
[roops...are you mad at me? Arrey I was waiting for maan]
"yeah right... as if I didn't know., " she turned towards geet, held her shoulders and looked at her seriously, "geet...listen to me...this is important okay.."
Geet wondered why she was so upset and that she looked so serious. May be she wanted to talk something important. She also made a serious face and looked at roops, "haan roops... bol... kya baat hain..."
[yes roops..tell me whats the matter..]
Roops looked directly into her eyes and held geet firmer, "please stop doing x-rated stuffs with your husband in front of everyone.."
(silence...)
"WHAT???", geet was totally shocked hearing this coming from roops.
"what the hell are you speaking you idiot?"
"this is serious geet... you can't go around the house and do x-rated stuffs and expect no one to see you..."
Geet stood up, feeling so embarrassed...does that mean she saw?
"you...you...sneaked up on us?"
"no re...i was just standing by the window and if you two were so keen on showing me all that... how could have I refused?"
Geet's mouth turned a big o...goodness gracious, whats wrong with this girl!! She found roops in deep thought!!
"waise... I would have liked it more if you would have shown me a blue film...umm come to think of it.. I wouldn't have to visit any p**n websites for that.."
"besharam...kamini..kutti...go die somewhere...", she ran to hit her. geet didn't know whether to feel disgusted or embarrassed but she was sure of killing roops. Roops laughed her head off seeing geet feeling so conscious.
"you idiot..stop laughing... and just get back here...", geet threw the pillows at her.
"geet... he is missing you in his arms baby...", roops shouted, running around the bed, "he would like to kiss you all over..."
"ewww...stop it you bitch... you just wait... once you get married... then I will see how you speak all that..."
"yeah right...god has been quite kind on you... the date is fixed..."
Geet was about to throw another pillow at her when she stopped right there!!! Date has been fixed???? Her eyes widened and the next moment she was squealing and hugging roops like a maniac.
"oh my god roops...kamini... mujhe pehle kyun nahi bataya? Kab hain? Kahan hain? Finally prem phass gaya bechara...ohh roops I love you a lot..."
[oh my god roops...kamini... why didn't you tell be before? When is it? where? Finally prem got stuck with you... ohh roops I love you a lot...]
"hey hey stop it... you are killing me..."
The duo sat on the bed, finally ceasing all their screaming and shouting.
"when is it?"
"24th of this month..."
"hmm...24th... of this month??? Two weeks from now??", geet was totally shocked!
"yep..it is!!"
"then what the hell are you doing here you dumb witted moron? You should be at home now.. don't you have a lot to do?"
"yeah yeah...its all so boring...and I didn't want to go back without you..."
"olle...mela shwetie pie...", geet hugged her tightly, "fine... we are going back tomorrow..."

The next morning couldn't have been better for geet. she woke up around 8 and went to check on the kids. She stopped right in front of the bed and couldn't stop smiling. Maan was sleeping on his tummy, bare bodied. Dia slept on him, holding him tightly with her cute little hands and namra sat beside them making faces, trying to wake her papa up.
"papa...utho... mujhe bhi godi mein sona hain..."
[papa wake up... I want to sleep oon you too]
"hmm...yes beta..", he was too drowsy to open his eyes. He stretched his hand and pulled namra close to him and slept off. Namra smiled finally finding her place with maan. How could she have left dia alone to sleep with her papa! Geet stood there admiring them... her cute little family!!! Ohh boy...thats called bliss...pure bliss! She also wanted to join them. She made a face and slipped beside maan with namra in the middle and dia still sleeping on maan. She smiled naughtily and entangled her legs with maan, slowly caressing his feet.
He felt something ticklish and slowly opened his eyes only to see her watch him, lovingly. One of the best days of his life perhaps. He slowly turned and made dia sleep beside namra and locked geet's legs with his. She made a face and tried to free her legs but he held it tighter.
'maan..leave me..."
He just smiled to himself and pretended to sleep.
"maan...chodo mujhe... I have to take a bath..."
He didn't even listen. He could feel her desperate movements to free herself, but he never let her go. Irritated, she screamed, "dadimaaa...helppp..."
He frowned hearing her scream so loudly. The kids woke up and started tickling maan. He couldn't stop laughing... and let her lose. She took the chance to free herself and ran to the washroom. He just did nothing but smile at her antics. He eyes dia and namra innocently, making them feel guilty. They plonked themselves in his arms, "sorry papa..next time no helping mamma..."
Morning was bright and sunny and so was their day. They had landed up in an amusement park...roops, dia, namra, geet and maan. Jasmeet and dadima decided to stay back and do something else rather than witnessing their romance all the while.
Dia and namra were too ecstatic to be in the park...lot of families...lot of kids... and lot of fun. They started with the rides with the kids when geet noticed the pirate ship. She was instantly reminded of something and held maan's hand. He looked at her amused, her eyes gleaming with naughtiness.
"maan... tumhe vomiting shomiting tho nahi hoti na?", she winked at him.
[maan... you don't have vomiting tendency right?]
He was instantly reminded of the day he had been to an amusement park with geet the last time. She had asked him the same question before riding the pirate ship.
He smiled as he held back her hand, "are you kidding me?"
"am quite serious..."
"then lets try it out..."
They called roops to join them but she kept a bit aloof. She refused to join saying someone needed to be with the kids. Geet nodded and took maan with her.
"geet..what are you doing...didn't you see roops was so upset?"
"shhh..thats why I left her alone. She is missing prem today... thats why.."
"didn't you tell her about the flight in the evening?"
"naa... I just wanted to surprise her..."
Roops looked at maan and geet settling on their seats and pulling the safety belts. Dia pulled her shirt, "massi why cant we go there?"
"its not for kids below the age of 8 na... and its scary..it goes sooo high... and your head spins..."
Dia was so scared hearing that. she held roops closer and just kept on watching the huge pirate ship. Namra saw her quite upset and withdrawn.
"massi why you so upset?"
Before she could even say anything, she saw dia pull namra, "shh...namra..she is mishing prem..her boyfriend!!!."
Namra seemed to get the reason with great understanding. She nodded her head like her dad, "hmmm I understand..."
Roops rolled her eyes... these kids are really fast nowadays!!!!
The ride started as people screamed and laughed along. The ride picked up speed and so did the wind. Going back and forth with the mighty wind...she held his hand and turned to look at him. their eyes met...once again...their heart beat once again... and then the same feel like the last time...yet so new and afresh. Time seemed to slow down and he took her hand closer and placed a kiss on it. she couldn't stop smiling...not could she hold back anymore. She leaned over him and rested her head on his shoulder, lacing her fingers with his. Nothing changed...yet everything changed.
The rest of the day was fabulous. They had their lunch at a restaurant while roops still looked gloomy. Geet slid beside her and whispered softly in her ears, "missing hubby already? We still have two weeks to go baby"
Roops glared at her but then she couldn't help smiling.
"aye...haye...blushing haan... roops...not bad..not bad..."
"lot of impossible things are happening nowadays... I get to bear a lot of heart attacks...right roops?"
Roops gritted her teeth and tried to hit maan.
"hey hey... stop being wild okay... you won't want your husband to see you like this. Poor prem... I pity him...he sure has got troubles..."
"maan... stop it!!"
Geet winked at maan and giggled to herself. They finished their food silently and got back home early. Roops was kind of low so she went back to her room only to see her stuffs packed. She looked around and watched everyone busy in packing their stuffs..even geet as well.
"geet..where are we going?"
Geet thought for a while, "umm..somewhere maan has planned and I don't even know about it.."
Roops was in no mood to think anything. She just got to her room and tried to sleep. She was woken up by geet around 7 in the evening.
"goodness how come you can sleep so much??"
"yeah I don't have a husband to keep me awake every time na...", roops smirked.
Geet rolled her eyes...roops was roops. She so much wanted to get back to her but then stopped thinking of her plan. She will take her revenge in her own sweet way.
"I will get back to you later...for now just get ready. We'll leave in the next 30 minutes."
Roops wondered what nautanki was going on. She just did as she was told to and headed out where everyone waited for her. she looked around for geet but she was not there. Maan waited for a while and then realized where could she be.
She stood right in front of the small jasmine bush where her kittu lay in eternal peace. The tiny white flowers looked beautiful in the moonlit night and that sweet mild fragrance filled the air.
"thank you... for giving me back what I had lost..."
A gentle breeze brought the fragrance to her nostrils...she inhaled and smiled. Her kittu might be saying her a goodbye. She felt him stand beside her quietly. She looked at him while his gaze was fixed on the plant. Probably he was offering a silent prayer. She held his hand and smiled at him. he felt so relieved seeing her fine and smiling.
"chalein?"
"umm...", she nodded softly and walked back with him. she looked at the house for a while before getting into the car and then at Maria who stood beside the car with moist eyes. She had already bid her goodbye to her but still it was emotional. She went closer and hugged her, "thank you Maria...for being with me always..."
Maria was touched with her gesture. No mistress would ever do something of this sort for any maid. She smiled and gave her blessings, "you are an enigma...hope you get all the happiness you deserve..."
"ohh Maria..am not going forever...i will come back okay... don't make it a final goodbye.."

Dadima and jasmeet sat together while roops chose a remote seat. Geet just looked at her for a while... she was surely upset about something. But then everything will be okay once they land in delhi. She took her seat beside maan, while the kids fought for the window seat. She smiled and made them seat properly and leaned back on her chair. Day was really tiring. She looked at maan who seemed lost in checking his mails. She looked at her cute family...her every dream was realized today. Her wishes upon stars have true... she had found peace but anisha never left her mind. how she wished she could tell her that she never intended to hurt her... like she used to say..love just happens. How she wished to know more about her life...but maan's words always checked her'some pages are better left unturned. She felt herself suddenly become so selfish... but then her eyes fell on maan. Could she afford to lose him again? Get hurt again? Probably no. Maan was right! she just leaned on his shoulder and closed her eyes.
"ouch geet are you crazy? Move your hands off my eyes...i cant see anything..."
"shut up and do as I say okay..."
"you are irritating..."
"thanks...and now slowly open your eyes..."
Roops slowly opened her eyes and found herself in the airport. They had already reached delhi, she knew it and it was early morning...she was still sleepy. But then what she saw actually took her sleep away. Prem stood right in front of her, with his hands in his pocket, smiling at her. ohh she had missed him sooo much...she just ran across and hugged him tight.
"I missed you sooo much...", she probably had tears in her eyes.
"missed you too...", prem smiled and held her close.
Geet and rest watched them for a while and decided to leave them alone. They moved to their cars waiting outside. Geet did miss whispering in roops' ears, "control your emotions baby...everyone knows he is your would-be... no need to show off..."
Roops was just too happy. She knew geet was trying to get back to her but she couldn't even get angry. Geet winked at her, "carry on guys... we won't disturb you...and prem will drop you home...bye.."
She laughed and walked towards maan. Dia pulled geet's hand, "mamma...susu..."
Geet smiled and looked at maan, "go with namra..i will get back with dia soon..."
She held dia's hand and led her to the washroom. She helped her setting her dress and wash her hands and walked out, looking at dia. She collided with someone on the way and apologized immediately, "am so sorry... i..."
She stopped right there, seeing a very familiar yet a dreadful face in front of her, giving her glares! She blinked a couple of times and realize it was indeed gayathri, standing right in front of her...!
