Guys I got broad so I start sreaching the web and I went on Indya and clicked on Star Plus than went to Karam Apnaa Apnaa and clicked on character info and it confused me alot.
This what I mean
Alok: Gauri's father is a vaidya by profession and is highly respected in his community. He loves his family and will do anything to protect them. He is simple, honest and kind.
Gauri: She is a simple girl who has no big dreams and ambitions. Her only aim in life is to keep her family happy. She is not very literate and smart but is instinctive and carries herself with dignity.
Debodutta: He is Gauri's elder brother who is a selfish, greedy and self-centric human being who hardly cares for his father who took loan to give him a better education.
Debodutta, after completing his education gets a good job but ignores the needs of his father and sisters. He is busy fulfilling his wife's dreams and demands. He lives with the family but does not share a good relationship with his father.
Sudeshna: Debodutta's wife, Sudeshana is a gray character in the story. She influences Debodatta to ignore his family which comprises of his father and sisters. Sudeshana poisons Debodatta's mind against his family and instead forces him to take care of her parents.
Kaya: Gauri's pampered and younger sister is Kaya. She is a feminist and has her own set of ambition and convictions. Becoming a doctor has been her life long dream. She feels that she is being victimized to pay for her brother's mistakes...
Mashima: She is Alok's cousin who is a widow. She lives with Alok's family. She is a positive character.
The Kapoor Family
Dada: Dada is the head of the Kapoor family... He is Mahen's father. Dada is a very positive and fun loving. He is extremely progressive and everyone respects him.
Dadi: Dadi cribs for everything but at the same time is loving and caring. She is a funny character who is kind hearted and innocent.
Mahen: Mahen is a true businessman who looks suave and gentlemanly. He is selfish and arrogant. He knows how to use people like pawns to win his battle. He wishes to be a politician as he knows if he wins the elections, it will help him in business. He takes calculated risks in life.
Nikhila: Nikhila is a typical Indian bahu. She is the one who takes final decisions on behalf of her husband. She is diplomatic.
Raudra: Raudra is Mahen's eldest son who is aggressive and rebellious.
Shiv: Mahen's youngest son. Shiv is very charismatic. He loves going around with women and enjoys his life. He has a very good business sense and his father has high hopes from him. He does everything with a lot of energy and passion. He has a very volatile relationship with his lady love, Ipshita.
Palak: Palak is slightly negative and wants to live her life with freedom. She likes to talk about class and status...
Daksh (Dash): Daksh has an extra marital affair but pretends to be very nice with his wife in front of the family. Everyone knows about his affair except Dada. He also has issues over a land with Mahen.
Shyala: Shyala is Daksh's wife. She is frustrated because of her husband's extra marital affair and so is insecure about her children and wants her son to join the family business.
Vivan: Vivan is very ambitious and studious. He is frank and blunt. Vivan is studying management, because his mother wants him to do that... But his dream is to become a pilot. He hates his father as he knows about his relations. He shares an intense relationship with his mother.
Shubha: Shubha is a student of philosophy and hence always is philosophical in nature.
Maya: Maya is Ayush's wife and is the only sister of Mahen. She is the typical nanad who likes to talk about everyone is the family and create a negative energy in the house. She thinks that daughters too have equal rights in the parents' property.
Ayush: Maya's husband is basically a negative and selfish character. He stays with Mahen's family as a ghar jamai. No one in the family thinks he's a negative person as he is very nice to everyone, especially Mahen.
Josh: Josh is just like his parents, wanting to have his share in the property. He always invests in shares etc. His hobbies include a regular visit to casinos, horse racing, games etc. He is a gambler and is currently in jail.
Rana: He is an adopted child. His real parents are Mahen's paternal aunt and uncle. He is very simple and innocent. He loves his wife and wants to see her happy. He works as a clerk in Mahen's company and dosen't think about his reputation and status.
Shibani: A positive character in the family. She is finicky about her husband and very possessive about him.
Das Gupta - Ipshita's Family
Sugna: Sugna is very ambitious when it comes to her career but at the same time is a woman of character who has devoted her life for upbringing of her children. She lives her life without any regrets and wishes the same for her children, allowing them to grow as an individual with independent personality.
Prasanjeet: Prasanjeet is Sugna's elder son. He lives life on his own terms. He takes calculated risks in life and wants to live a peaceful life.
Ipshita : She's a free spirit with a mind of her own and makes all her decision by herself. She is spontaneous, full of life and extremely adventurous.
Other Important Characters
Sashank: Shashank works with Mahen Kapoor as an accountant. Mahen wants to get him married to Gauri. He is projected as a hero but later is revealed to be part of Mahen's drama.
Mayank: Mayank is a big business tycoon who is very intelligent. Shiv idolises him. He is innocent and genius. He is not fashionable. He is very good in his work and remembers everything about business. At office, he is very charged but at home he is always sleepy, tired and lazy. When he comes to know about Ipshita's relation with Shiv he is hurt.
Devika : She is the rival of Mahen Kapoor. She owns a land, which Mahen wants at any cost to complete his dream project. Later, it is revealed that she is Gauri's dadi. She knows about Mahen's plan to get Shiv married to Gauri and so she wants Shiv to divorce Gauri.
