Hello people
It's been only recently that I started watching Nach Baliye and I had become a big fan of Hussain Kuwajerwala and Tina. But something Hussain did has put me off. I do not want to ukhaado gade hue murde but in the Diwali special a few stars wished everyone Happy Diwali and some even wished Eid Mubarak to the viewers, whoever remembered it. But what bothered me most was that when Hussain and Tina were shown, Hussain wished the viewers Happy Diwali and was about to move on when Tina reminded him "Aur Eid Mubarak?". Instead of going ahead with the greeting for Eid he froze, smiled in disregard and continued by stating "whatever the festival..." and so on. But through out the reality special video he never once made any mention of Eid Mubarak or even acknowledge that it was Eid. I was shattered and cued again to see if I missed something and again my heart broke. My question is, is there a reason he chose to be indifferent, distant even, about Eid? Don't know whether he is Muslim or Parsi (although the last name seems to indicate Parsi) but even then, he has a large fan base and the fans would only be edified and elated if he could've only just mentioned it. I mean how much of an effort does it take? It's a country of many religions, you can show blatant disregard for traditions of one over another especially when you're in a business where you make a living by what you show and force yourself to feel. I dont wish to ignite a controversy, but it really hurt. Were it not for Gaurav and Manav and I think Raja too, who went into a hilarious loop of Happy Diwali and Eid Mubarak I would've been quite disappointed at the whole episode. You could go ahead and revisit that episode before you post defensive replies. May be it was just me, or may be it was just the online broadcast that was faulty. Or may be it wasn't. Am I acting irrational being concerned about this?
