Hi guys,

I just couldn't help posting this topic..... Why is a child given such importance in India....?.....i can't help but say India.. becoz. these idiotic serials are in a way a representation of India.....

In Saat-Phere... Tara....gets her own sister married to her husband for one...
In Betiyaan....a second wife for a male child...
In new Zaara... second wife coz.. first wife.. is barren...
In Kyunki.. Karan maries Tanya for his child....( one wonders why didn't any of his overly loving brothers or sisters simply adopt the child...pray tell....)

And in KS... The High and Mighty have fallen at the feet of an unsrupulous woman simply for a child.....

Today.... truly.... Jai Walia... the mirage.. is gone for ever..... any man who has to think twice before deciding between his wife and his illegitimate child cannot be Jai Walia....as we knew him....."Even .....Normal Indian male is more STRONG & FAITHFUL......!!"

( Rather useless info.. but i would like to tell you i have sveral couples in my family or knowledge who don't have a child.... but they have either gone in for adoption or chosen to stay without a child.... none and i do mean none..... of them have gone in for something so outlandish as to look for a second woman.....or for that matter 2 man...Somehow the child is not that imporatnt in normal Indian households....!...)

It is sad to see all this hoo -- haa simply for a child.... who on growing up will in all probabality tell his or her parents .....what have they ever done for him.... & if you are in a profession ... you can bet your last dime he will go abroad in your end years leaving you at the mercy of your neighbours.....& servants.... and ....if not too busy..... may .... just.... may come down to light your funeral pyre.....Plz....Do be convinient and die during Hols.... will you?.....

All that hoopla for some one who is not even around .... with little or no regard to those who are there....? Yuck!.....

Why is adoption such an alien concept?.....

Yaar chaar din mein to kute ( plz...excuse the language) se bhi pyaar ho jaat ahain... phir jisse tum god loge woh to insaan ka bacha hoga...!....

Right now ....i feel Bani should leave Jai and take all his wealth with her in to the bargain... and hopefully a thinner and a more handsome ....not to say honourable man will come in her life soon....

Waise bhi Jai ke liye to Pia ka bacha hai hi....( i hope he can keep his dad warm...)... better still if Jai were to loose Bani.... His wealth.. and Pia dies on route to Tirupati...

Suddenly I like Tarun and Bani angle very much....you guys have my blessings....

Rocky,

JW did not go to a second woman for a child. The child happened due to a mistake. If Pia had not gotten pregnant JW would have been happy with Bani without a child. Now that the child is a reality without JW wanting it that way, how can we expect him to turn his back on that child. What is that child's fault? Don't we want our parents to love us more than anyone else in the world. I would have lost all respect for JW if he had let Pia abort the child so that he could keep bani. I hate the way he is being manipulated by the canine but what is the child's fault in this. Why does the child need to be killed with his father's consent for us to believe the JW loves his wife.

hey meghan

Absolutely agree with ya.. it is not child that is at fault.. but do you really think that a child would be happy in a loveless marriage??? even if pia gets married to jai 🤢 .. they are going to live a life without love.. then what?? eventually a marriage that is not build of trust/love (which pia will get from jai) is bound to fail!! and what if they divorce.....

but you make some really valid point.. it's just a little complicated.. my my.. i feel sorrie for jai now 😭 ...

its the thinking to be honest....

My point of view 😃 adopting a kid is just as good
Talking from experiance now 😭 i think if you know you cannot have kids before it better to deal with than finding out when you really want that child hope that makes sense rocky

shame these shows never show that side and postive ....In all fairness ekta in kohi apna sa showed one of the character aopting a child 👏 only time i seen it 👏 👏 👏 to her!!

Jai loves bani more than a child however now knowing hes having a kids he cannot ignore it!

😃 i always love you discussion so sensible and to the point!

Hey.. chill.. i will not tell you that this is not happening in some parts of India...

But i can tell you that in metrolpolis.. the daughters are welcomed as much as sons... even in many rural parts of the country....

Infact, in north India Hingdu families.. like mine... a daughter is consiered very auspicious.. as she is considered to be the .... an avtaar of godess Laxmi....

Also..... you will be happy to know that in Western India....

It is a matriarchal type of family.... wherein it is the woman who is the head of the family.... and the man after marraige goes to stay at his wife's house....

Also in some places all the wealth and property belongs to the youngest daughte of the family.....

Additionally..... try catching the serials.. such as solah singaar.... wherein you will realise just how compex indian society can be.....

There.. ammaji the is the head of the family and the nearby community and is knowingly or unknowingly responsible for the plight of her own daughter-in law....

Basivally it is true of India.... more than fathers or granadfathers or other male members of the families it is the MOthers, Mother inlas or Grandmothers who are responsibles for the plight of their own daughters...
