The next morning he woke up around 11am..
'Aarrgghhh my head ' he touched his forehead as his eyes slowly opened up to see the horrific site of his room. There wasn't a thing tht was in its original shape , everything was shattered . Suddenly memories of the past night occupied his mind, and his eyes fell on the phone . He stood up and held the phone in his hand , it still flashed the image of Madhu hugging ARJUN through that broken screen. all the blood in RK's body boiled up again . He had received those photos last night at the bar from Dipali's number . And immediately he rushed back home to take some answers or rather just tell Madhu what he wants. .
'Priya Priya '
'PRIYA' he shouted
'Uhh yes Sir ' she came hurriedly
'Adrak...NO ...Black Coffee now ' he demanded
'And send someone to clean this mess'
'Yes sir ' she walked away.
Suddenly he heard a knock at his door.
'So miss Madhubala is back ' he spoke while turning to look at the door but was shocked to see Arjun standing there.
'You? What do u want ?' RK spoke angrily
'Where is Madhu?' Arjun questioned
'Ohh hahah !! I'm sure she forgot to give u live updates , so u came directly here to see what's been happening . How well ur plan has been working' RK smirked.
'Listen Mr Rishabh Kundra . I'm not here for any fight just tell me where is Madhu ?' Arjun asked irritatingly
'Excuse me Mr Arjun Singhania , Madhu is my wife . Who the hell are u to ask me about my wife' RK mocked
'Really ? She's ur wife ? Then why don't u know where she is ? Since 7am Mr Kapoor and I have been calling on her number but it goes unavailable . Where is she RK?' This time there was a sharp tone in arjun's voice
Suddenly Reality Hit RK ! 'Madhu?? She left last night , in tht stormy rainy night . Where is she ?' He thought
'Madhu ...left...last night' RK stumbled
Arjun's fists tightened as he held RK's collar ' where did she go??????? Do u even reaalize how badly it was raining yesterday??? What did u do to her RK????'
RK's head suddenly spinned around , he pushed Arjun away .
'I'll find her ' he mumbled
'No RK please u have done enough . Do u even realize how much she loves u ??' Arjun spoke aloud
Making RK's eyes go widened ' how come Arjun is saying all this ?? '
He stood there dumbfoundedly staring at Arjun.
'She didn't ask for Fame or Stardom RK , it just came to her . She just wants ur love , she had been crying for u, for ur love ' Arjun spoke wid a regretful face
'And what did u to her ? Told her to get out when it was raining so heavily ? How inhuman could u get RK?' Arjun spoke shouting
RK held his collar ' no need to worry about my wife '
'I have to worry RK ! Coz u DON'T ' and suddenly Arjun's phone rang
'Hello?'
'What??? Where ???'
'Oh shitt ! I'm coming'
He banged the phone
And stared at RK .
'City Hospital'
And left from there . Leaving a numb , shocked RK.
Widout wasting time RK just grabbed his car keys and immediately left for City hospital
He covered a 45mins distance in just 15mins . Only for his Madhu , wait does he still have the right to call her 'His' ?
As he reached the hospital , everyone present there started clicking his photos and he heard them say 'that's RK' , 'Omg RK'
Suddenly it struck him that he thought he lost his stardom then how come people are still clickin him ...
Suddenly a nurse came upto him 'RK sir ?'
'Ya' he said lostly
'Mrs Madhubala is that way . Please come wid me ' and he followed the nurse.
As he reached near the ward , he saw Mr Kapoor , Bittuji , Arjun standing there already , and their faces didn't seem to bright. 'Is Madhu okay?' He thought
'There ' the nurse gestured towards a glass shield opposite wich RK could see Madhu.
She laid there Pale , Weak and Unconscious.
RK was lost , it seemed like he was the worst monster alive . He did that to her , to his Madhu . How could he ? How could he possibly be responsible for this condition of her's ? Did she actually do something so bad to deserve this ? He raised his hand and touched the glass shield , he was too far from his Madhu. He made her go so far.. But why? Didn't he Love her ? Or wasn't his love strong enough ?
Suddenly the doctor came out and interrupted his thoughts. Before he could say Arjun spoke
'How is she doctor ?' He asked
'Well , laying all night long under heavy rain isn't very good mr Arjun, is it ? I'm sorry to say her already weak body caught wid severe fever and infection wich doesn't seem to go down for now . We took her blood sample to check for Pneumonia.' The doctor said
And Arjun Glanced at RK wid an angry face.
'When will she gain consciousness ?' Mr Kapoor asked
'Her body is very weak , and she hasn't eaten too well since 2-3 days , I'm not too sure when will she gain consciousness but it might take 1 hour or even 24hours . Just pray that she doesn't have any other infection ' the doctor said and left.
Arjun walked up to RK , who still stood there staring at Madhu through the glass.
'Are u happy now?' Arjun spoke
'She won't be able to take away ur stardom and fame lying there ' he gestured .
'Congratulations RK the superstar for gettin back ur fame at the cost of ur wife ' arjun spoke and left from there.
And suddenly a tear rolled down from RK's eyes.
RK sits there on the bench . And his whole journey wid Madhu flashes infront of his eyes .
'He sees her crying in a corner of his studio'
'Contract Marriage'
'Her care for his dadimaa and him'
'The Kiss'
'How he started falling for her'
'Their night'
'Her decision to become a heroine'
'His support'
Everything was perfect then what happened ??
It led RK to think ...
was his Stardom more important to him than Madhu?
For the first time he found true love . In a simple sweet middle class girl. Who loved him for what he is , not for his fame or money. Then why is it hurting his ego so much to see her doing great in her life ?
Was he considering himself to the man who made her ? But NO, he can't . She's self made just like him. RK struggled for 10years before becoming a Superstar, no support nothing . He did it all on his own, all on his own calibre, isn't his ego justified ? How can a self made man handle his fame being taken away?
But the biggest question that occurred his mind was ... 'Was his fame even taken away? Or it was just a product of his mind?'
Suddenly a small girl walked upto him
'RK sir! RK sir! I'm a big fan of urs. Please give me ur autograph?' She spoke sweetly
RK took her slam book 'ur name?'
'Meethi'
and he signed 'dear Meethi, lots of Love RK '
And smiled at her
'I'm waiting to see u and madhubala ma'am together on screen. U both are great' and she kissed his cheeks and went away.
And RK suddenly realized
People appreciated Madhu because she was new , when he was new People had appreciated him and had forgotten about all other stars.
He realized people never forgot him or stopped loving him , they just started loving Madhubala as well.
RK quickly stood up and went inside Madhu's ward. She was lying unconscious.
He softly took her hand , and placed a gently kiss there .
'Was his stardom really so important to him that he made Madhu suffer so much?' He thought
'She never asked him for anything, no demands , No complains. She did love him selflessly ...then why he became selfish?'
He placed her hand on his cheeks , and felt her touch.
Even though she was unconscious , her touch was still the same .
'She doesn't deserve this' he let his tears flow down ...
