Based in Mumbai, Kunal's first screen appearance was as the geeky stammering nerd Varun in Remix. He followed it with the role of a jovial army Cadet Yadhuvansh Sahni(Yudi) in Left Right Left on SAB TV. He later played Angad in Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya.

Kunal aspired to be a director since he was 13 years old, after he saw Steven Spielberg's film Jurassic Park. Kunal has been appreciated much for his role in Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha in which he plays Mohan Bhatnagar. His character Mohan Bhatnager has become very popular on TV and also achieved great fans/followers for him.😊
