Arjun did not sacrifice Pari for Purvi. He gave Pari to Purvi because he had no clue how to look after her, his wife did not want the chaild, his father was no help in assisting to raise the child. Arjun took care of himself when he handed Pari to Purvi. Pari got someone to take care of her and the Kirloskar servants were saved from taking care of the baby. The kirloskar men could go back to concentraing on making money. The Deshmukh women could continue to focus on their own needs.

Purvi is not wrong in accepting the money..Pari is Arjun's responsinility also and he has to provide for his child..If they were married and divorced it would have been the same way
