This is very true. Mental illness can lead to lines of morality being crossed because one doesn't see the world in the same way. We see utterly depraved behaviour sometimes because of it. No way on earth does it excuse a crime being committed.

We also see depraved behaviour when one feels they can get away with absolutely anything - I believe anyone can succumb to that temptation. This is where justice must come in to show people that there are ramifications.




To me depravity- is a state where a twisted mind feels, he/she can push all the boundaries and do as they please.
A mentally ill person is not fully aware of the repercussions of their actions, a depraved human is. Which is why a depraved person should never be allowed to escape prosecution or punishment.
