At any point in life, I have tended to befriend people whose wavelengths were matching with mine, so never faced any untoward peer pressure to partake in activities I wouldn't have wanted to do myself in the first place.
Even if there was such negative pressure, I feel I am strong enough to resist it.

I've never been at the receiving end of peer pressure. My frienc circle constitutes straight A geeks who get swayed by nothing, for one. I've seen a once dear friend fall into the whole mess, yes. But as far as I go, I might as well have put pressure on her to follow me or on others when I was younger. 😳

Oh there were temptations, alright but I have always been headstrong so was never a victim. In 10th grade, everyone in my friend circle started dating, so yes I felt the subtle pressure as well although I wouldn't call it negative. It's hard not to feel it or want to fit in when you're a teen. But I wasn't into boys or dating then, so I didn't jump off the cliff just because everyone else was. You can still be friends with people that aren't on the same wavelength as you if you assert your stance on the issue well enough.

Not really, I'm too stubborn of a person to give into much. Some may say up to a fault.

Peer pressure is always there, it's a matter of holding your ground and keeping a circle of friends that respects your choices regardless of thier own opinions. I've been lucky in that sense, having friends that are like minded and practice the basic rule of "to each his own"..

I did do some things because everyone else was doing it. Skip class, smoke cigarettes and weed. But I wouldn't call it peer pressure. Part of it was me being curious.

On the other hand I always knew where to draw the line. I didn't date, lose virginity, get piss drunk, get stoned out my mind etc, simply because everyone else was doing it. I knew when not to skip class, when not to party. And none of my friends ever forced me to do something I really didn't want to.

There wasnt any peer out there who could put me in pressure. There are many who were smarter than me, looked great, famous with teachers, among girls however they did not have one quality which I had. lol. I never cared and therefore no pressure.

My problem is that I dont want to attain something by copying, cheating, emulating others. I dont want it. Bad or worst, I drive myself. This is the reason that even today if I see someone doing better than I dont feel negative about it. Once we take out that from mind then I think we can get rid of things like negative peer pressure, complexity, insecurities etc.

Of course - not so easy to dodge peer pressure. For me, I'd term it as peers that were influential in a negative way - I would take the blame for actions of mine - but no sweat! It's made me who I am, and helped me meander my way into designing my own fence line - Something I strongly believe I wouldn't cross, given any situation. :)
