"Kumud, jo ladka apne dil ki nahi sun na chahta.. woh apke kehne par yaha tak chala aya. Kyu? Kya matlab hai iska?"

The man who doesn't even listen to his heart, came all the way here after you asked him to. Why? What does it mean?

Hasn't Saras already asked Kumud this very question a few times before? But today, when Sunny reiterated the same sentence, it hit straight home! Why? What does it mean?

Sunny may seem like just another happy go lucky guy, but he's got a wise soul in there! Nothing about him says pretense. Very much like our Kumudsundari. He tells it like it is, even if it is jokingly. Today, he showed Kumud another back alley to Saras' heart - just like he promised! He assured Kumud that Saras is not weak, nor is he out to get himself. For a common man, it may seem like he's running away from the very thing he needs. However, his life has been anything but common; he has seen and felt anything but love and acceptance.

"Taklif sehne ki aadat pad gai hai use. Use vishwas hi nahi ke koi uski taklif samaj saktaa hai"

He's used to being alone and enduring it all by himself. That is THE only way he knows how to deal with his problems. He doesn't believe that anyone could possibly ever understand him. And why not? How does a person who has always been deprived of love and support know what a relief it can be?

Badi ma has tried explaining this to her before and today Sunny painted a similar image of Saras' life for her. Why? What does it mean?

"Aapki baat asar karti hai uspe. Aap use apne dil ki baat sun ne par majboor kar sakti hai."
"Woh bhi jeena chahta hai, kush rehne chahta hai. Uski thodi si madad kar dijiye, please!"

Her words affect him. She compels him to listen to his heart that has been shut for all these years. He needs just a little bit of help. He needs her to knock on his door and ask him to come outside where there's actually someone waiting for him this time.

I love Sunny

I didn't when he was first introduced in Dubai

He is sharp and smart

I love his bonding with Kumud,

He already treats like his Bhabhi

And the whole scene today was the highlight of today's episode

He also gave Kumud another piece of the puzzle

That of Saras's relationship with his dad

That told her how lonely Saras had been - no mom, no closeness with dad, a stepmom

Whose motives are suspect, Kumud could figure how deeply lonely and hurt Saras is!

I didn't care much for the guy either when I first started watching the show. Seemed like he was just a silent sounding board for Saras. I guess they've finally given him a distinct personality and more lines to go with it. He's like the male version of Dugba. I have officially dubbed him Saras and Kumud's Hanuman! 😃

I know, I read that post, and loved the analogy but to me today he seemed more like Lakshman than hanuman

I have always liked Sunny to be honest.. His pleasant demeanor and amiable nature just wins me over.. In Dubai too , whatever little interaction he had with Saras, he seemed like a guy who is very jovial and carefree from outside but inside he is a wise man who genuinely cares for Saras.. the smart thing about the guy is that he knows how to deal with people.. For instance with Kumud, he helps her with all the little information about Saras she is seeking for , yet he doesnt put her in a spot.. In his own way he made her realize that he knows why she is doing what she is doing..( yesterday's conversation) The promise given to badima is just an excuse..he knows :) He gave her another clue to work on.. Saras' equation with his father.. Kumud had no idea this is how father son relationship is.. Had she known she would have understood the reason for Saras' rejection... Why her words and her actions affect Saras? ..why he came to Ratnagiri? she got an answer in those questions..About Saras you have already written beautifully.. Nothing more to add :)

He does know how to deal with people really well!! With Kumud, not only does he share Saras' secrets but at the same time tries to cheer her up with the smallest of gestures like making her smile, complementing her personality, and assuring her that she is the only person who can help him. On the other hand, he always echoes saras' internal thoughts back to him - against which Saras usually runs out of words to argue with lol. Just like the day when he first arrived and joked about Saras one day calling him up the next day to say that the 'maamlaa" has started again 😆
