Swayam, Rey and Sharon were knocking on Taani's door for fifteen minutes. They were very worried by now. But, Taani didn't respond.

Swayam shouted, "Taani! Open the door, please!" He was almost in tears. Sharon said, "Swayam, itna tension mat lo. Everything is alright.

Rey said, "Dude, lagta hai darwaza todna padega. Help kar na jara."

Swayam and Rey pushed the door hard. The door opened with a loud BANG!

Inside, they saw Taani sleeping with a notebook and pen in front of her. She had dozed off writing something. Many crumpled paper balls were spread around her. Rey stepped forward and picked up on of the paper balls. He opened it and read it. Then he picked up the notebook and glanced through it. "Swayam – " he started to say but stopped.

Swayam was looking fondly at his dear sister with tears in his eyes. Rey saw this and whispered to Sharon, "Shayad hume bahar jana chahiye." Sharon nodded and they both went outside.

Swayam went near the bed and sat down near her. He shook Taani's arm gently and called, "Taani?" Taani stirred and opened her eyes. "Bhai, aap yahan?" Swayam said nothing and hugged Taani tightly.

Taani was surprised. She thought, "Yeh Bhai ko kya ho gaya?" She said aloud, "Bhai?"

Swayam broke the hug. Taani saw his tears. She quickly said, wiping his tears, "Bhai, aap ro kyun rahe hai? Kya hua?"

Swayam : Tumne dara diya.

Taani : Maine dara diya? Matlab?

Swayam : Itni der se knock kar rahe the hum, tab answer kyun nahi kiya?

Taani : (confused)Hum?

Swayam : Yeah, Sharon aur Rey aaye hai.

Taani : Oh! Woh… actually Bhai, main raat ko der tak likh rahi thi is liye neend hi nahi khuli.

Swayam : Likh rahi thi? Itna kya likhna tha?

Swayam looked at the notebook and the crumpled paper balls. He read a page of the notebook. He said, with a hint of anger creeping in his voice, "Itni der tak yeh play likh rahi thi? Pata hai, jab tumne response nahi diya tha tab main kitna darr gaya tha?"

Taani said, making a cute, but sorry face, "Sorry, Bhai."

Swayam ruffled her hair and said, "Now, this is my sister. Pehle kuch weird karke sabko darana, aur agar kisiko gussa aajaye, toh phir ye cute face se sorry bolkar gussa pighlana."

Taani said hugging Swayam, "Bhai, gussa health ke liye achcha nahi. Aur agar woh gussa mujhpar ho toh bilkul nahi!"

Swayam said, "Okay, ab darakar, aur gussa pighlakar ho gaya hai na. Toh ab jaldi se ready ho jao warna college ke liye late ho jayenge."

Taani said with wide eyes, "Late ho jayenge? Time kya hua hai?"

Swayam replied, "Almost 7:30."

Taani quickly stood up and pulled Swayam on his feet as well. She said urgently, "Toh pehle nahi bata sakte the? Jaldi se ready hona padega!"

Swayam smiled and said, "Tum ready ho jao. Main , Rey aur Sharon bahar living room mein wait kar rahehai." Saying so, he left.

In the living room, Sharon and Rey were waiting for Swayam. He went and sat on the sofa and said, "Taani ready ho kar aa rahi hai."

Rey sat beside him.

Rey: (amused)Swayam, shakal dekhi hai apni? Kitna funny lag raha hai tu!

Sharon: Rey, tum ab aise bol rahe ho, par jab tumhare saath aisa hoga na, tab tum samjhoge ki kitna darr lagta hai.

Rey: Sharon, tumhare saath aisa kuch hua hai jo tum mujhe itna lecture de rahi ho?

Sharon: Hua hai na. Abhi abhi. Jab Taani koi response nahi de rahi thi tab mujhe bhi arr laga tha, yaar. She's my best friend.

Rey: Tumhari best friend hai toh meri kaunsi dushman hai woh? Meri bhi toh best friend hai. Just because maine mere emotions ko control kiya toh iska Matlab ye toh nahi hua ki mujhparkoi effect hua hi nahi!

Sharon : Haan, but…

Swayam intervened, "Guys, kya kar rahe ho? Taani ab thik hai, everything's perfectly right toh ab kyun jhagad rahe ho?"

"Aise hi, time pass." Rey said.

Taani emerged from her room. She quickly said, "I'm so sorry! Aap logo ko meri vajah se itni der wait karna pada." Sharon said, "Koi baat nahi! Ab chalein?" "Sure!" Swayam and Rey replied.

On the way to the college, Swayam and Sharon were busy in their own conversation. Taani looked at them and smiled. "Kitne achche lagte hai na dono saath mein!" she said. "Of course." Rey replied. Taani didn't reply back, as she was busy admiring her Bhai and Bhabhi.

In order to break the silence, Rey asked her, "So Taani, tumhara play complete ho gaya?"

Taani : Haan, ho gaya. In fact, VP sir ne aaj college se jaldi nikalne ki permission di hai, so aaj channel ke office jaa kar main play dene waali hoon.

Rey : Achcha? So, kaha hain unka office?

Taani : Matunga.

Rey : Aur tum jaa kaise rahi ho?

Taani : Kaise Matlab? Train ya taxi se chali jaungi.

Rey : Akele? Swayam ko pata hai? Nahi hoga pata. Pata hota toh tumhe chodne aa jata woh.

Taani : Pata hota toh bhi unka mere saath aaneka mood nahi hota.

Rey : Kyun?

Taani : Aaj, ACS ko duty ke liye report karna hai, CS ke paas. Woh bhi CCD mein!

Rey : Really?

Taani : Yes! Woh dono abhi bhi official nahi hai, isliye jabhbhi milte hai, tab CS – ACS work ka bahana banate hai.

Rey : Great! So, finally in dono ka kuch hone waala hai. Lekin tumhare Matunga jaane ka kya?

Taani : Rey, mane kaha na, main chali jaungi.

Rey : No, tum akeli nahi jaa rahi. Ek idea hai. Main chalu tumhare saath?

"What?" Taani was not sure she heard him correctly, "Kya kaha aapne?" Rey repeated his question, a little hesitatingly though, "Main chalu tumhare saath channel ke office?"

"Sure." Taani replied.

In the afternoon –

Taani called Swayam.

Taani : Bhai, main play dene ke liye uss channel ke office jaa rahi hoon.

Swayam : Kab, kahan, kaise? Aur tum aaj jaa rahi ho toh mujhe pehle kyun nahi bataya?

Taani : Bhai, relax! Aap bol toh aise rahe ho ki main Jodhpur jaa rahi hoon aapko bin bataye. Channel ka office yahi Matunga mein hai. Aur aap hyper mat hona. Main akele nahi jaa rahi.

Swayam : Kaun jaa raha hai phir tumhare saath? Gang ka koi hai toh it's no tension then.

Taani : Haan, mere saath Rey aane waale hai.

Swayam : Rey… Rey? Rey kyun?

Taani : Bhai, aise kyun bol rahe ho? Aap ne abhi kaha na ki gang ka koi ho toh tension nahi hai. Agar aapko koi problem hai toh main Rey se keh deti hoon –

Swayam : No, no, no, Taani. It's fine. Chali jao tum. It's totally fine.

Taani : Are you sure?

Swayam : Haan, main sure hoon. Tum jao. Bas jald se jald ghar pahoch jaana warna tension ke wajah se main chain se baith nahi paunga.

Taani : Yes Boss! Okay, main phone rakhti hoon! Bye!

Taani turned to Rey and said, "Chalein?" Rey smiled and said, "Sure!"

Once they were out of the college building, Taani asked Rey, "So, hum kaise jaa rahe hai? Taxi, train? How?" Rey said with a smirk, "Hum bike se jaa rahe hai." Taani exclaimed, "What? Matunga bike par jayenge? Are you serious?" Rey replied, "Yes I am serious. Now come on!"

He went towards his bike, sat on it, and started it. He turned to Taani and said, "Ab tum aa rahi ho ya tumhara play dene mujhe akele jaana padega?" Taani quickly ran to him and sat on the bike, "Okay."

They left the college. Rey was driving very fast. After racing for half and over, Rey suddenly braked. Taani jerked forward and almost fell over Rey. On instinct, she gripped Rey's arm tightly. After she steadied herself, she snapped at him, "What was that for?" Rey said, "Umm… Let me think. Tumhe mujhe kaskar pakadne ka bahana dene ke liye?" Taani shouted, "What?" Rey replied, "Majak kar raha hoon. Channel ka office aa gaya."

Taani looked around. They were standing, no, actually the bike was standing near a big building bearing the channel's name. She got off from the bike. Rey parked the bike in the parking lot and came over to her. He said, "Tum abhi tak yahi khadi ho? Andar nahi jana?"

Taani said, "Haan." She went forward to the reception and then turned back again. ''Rey asked, "Kya hua?" Taani held his hand tightly. "Aap chaliye na mere saath." She said, pleading. "Okay." Rey went to the reception with her.

Taani asked the receptionist, "Is Mr. Mihir Kapoor in the office?"

Receptionist : Aap kaun?

Taani : Main Taani Shekhawat hoon. Is channel ke ek show ke liye play likhne ke liye offer aaya tha mujhe. Usi ke liye aayi hoon."

Receptionist : Yes, Miss. Taani Shekhawat, Mihir sir ne aapko mention kiya tha. His office is the third on the left.

Taani : Thank you very much.

Taani and Rey went to the office. Taani looked at Rey, and said, "Rey, mujhe bahot darr lag raha hai." Rey asked, "Kyun? Itna achcha play likha hai tumne. Ab kyun darr lag raha hai?"

Taani turned to him and said, "Maine kabhi aise kisi person se baat nahi hai. Aur ye Mr Mihir toh ek bahot bade channel ke owner hai!" Rey held her by her shoulders and said, "Koi jaroorat nahi hai unse darne ki. Bas woh jo sawal puchenge uska jawab do. Baaki sab woh khud karlenge. Aurmain bhi aa raha hoon tumhare saath Andar, Okay?" Taani said, a little more confidently, "Yes." Rey released her, "Then let's go."

Taani knocked at the door. Mr. Mihir said, "Come in." Taani pushed open the door and they went inside. Mr Mihir seemed in a great hurry to get to somewhere. He was putting some important looking documents in a briefcase. He looked up and said, "Oh, Miss Taani. Meri receptionist ne phone karke bataya tha ki aap aa rahi hai. Please sit down."

Taani : Yes sir. (They sat down.)

Mr Mihir : So, aapne itni jaldi play complete kar diya?

Taani : Haan sir. Woh actually, bas pehle wala play extend karna tha, toh jyada time nahi laga.

Mr Mihir : Okay, can you please let me see it?

Taani : (Handing him a notebook.) Of course sir.

Mr Mihir : (Going through the play.) Oh, I can see that you have done a very good job. It's just perfect!

Mr Mihir removed a chequebook from his briefcase and filled a cheque. He said, "Now, Miss Taani, as I promised, aapke fees. Here you go." He handed the cheque to Taani. Then, he continued, "I am afraid I have to go to a meeting now, so I take you leave." Saying so, he literally flew out of the office in a hurry.

But Taani was not listening. She was staring at the cheque in her hands. Rey looked at her He wondered what happened to her. "Taani, sab thik hai na?" he asked. "Uss Mr. Mihir cheat karke bhaag toh nahi gaya na? Agar aisa hai toh abhi jaa kar uski taang todkar aata hoon!"

Rey started off after Mihir, but Taani grabbed his hand, stopped him and said, "Rey, rukiye!" Rey asked her, "Toh uss cheque ko itne shock se kyun ghur rahi thi?" Taani beamed at him. She said, "Rey, it's my first payment!" and hugged him tightly. Rey responded with the same enthusiasm.
