Chapter 17

Rey looks at her, she was very close to him now. She was breathing heavily. He looks at his finger on her lips, he looks at her eyes, her cheeks, he looks at her face as if hiz seeing her for the 1^st time. He starts moving his finger on her lips, her lips were trembling as he was moving his finger, Rey's heart beat had increased too, their body temperature had gone low by now. Taani couldn't make eye contact with Rey now, she closes her eyes, Rey looks at her and comes closer and kisses her eyes, Taani holds his shirt tight, her heart was beating to its maximum now, she was trembling, with his other hand Rey puts her hair behind her ear,and kisses her cheeks, He didn't want to stop, aand Taani didn't feel like stopping him too. She couldn't open her eyes, Rey helplessly looks at her face, he looks at her lips and was about to kiss her, but then he realizes that this wasn't right, he keeps looking at her face, he gets frustrated and leaves her waist and moves back.

Taani slowly opens her eyes, she looks around, Rey was staring at her, helpless, he wanted to hug her and tell her how much he loves her, but he couldn't. Taani on the other hand was trying to figure out what happened to her few minutes ago. She turns and walks near the window and deciedes to leave. She turns and looks at Rey, he was staring at her, he wished he could stop her, Taani quickly leaves through her window.

Rey: (to himself)main khud ko rok kyu nahi pata! Taani k samne itna helpless ho jata hu! Ab tak Taani se pyar karta hu! Par Yuvi? Main uske saath aisa kaise kar sakta hu!! Aur Taani? Usne muje rokha kyu nahi?

The very thought that Taani didn't stop him bought a smile on his face, he wanted to go back and live that moment all over again! Taani on the other hand was on her bike, she couldn't stop thinking about what happened, she was blushing,. She reaches home and lies on her bed quickly, she couldn't stop smiling, she holds her pillow tightly near her chest and closes her eyes.

Morning 8 am Rey's house.

Yuvi walks in Rey's room, Rey was busy whistling and fixing his hair,He looks at Yuvi from the mirror and stops whistling,

Yuvi: (tensed) Maa ne papaji ko mana liya, aaj shyam ko hum jaa rahe hai, Taani k ghar!

Rey didn't know what to say, whole last nights scene flashed in his mind, he was suppose to convience Yuvi not to speak to his parents,

Rey: (nervous) Yuvi! Tuje nahi lagta kuch jyada jald bazi kar raha hai, I mean, (he couldn't think of anything)

Yuvi (frustrated now) : Bachpan se Taani k saath hu, ek na ek din toh ye sab hona hi tha na? Aur ab Maa ne papaji ko bhi mana liya! Ab kuch nahi ho sakta!

Rey remains silent, he didn't know what to say, he just gives Yuvi a fake smile.

Later at Royal Dance Academy

The choreographer informs them that they will be performing for a musical dance show tonight.

KIya be's all excited for it.

Kiya: Wow, aaj ka din kitna acha hai, Yuvi aur Taani ki rishtey ki baat and yaha hum musical dance show mein perform karenge!

Rey was serious, he wasn't excited at all, but one way he felt good, he will not be able to see Taani's wedding getting fixed to some1 else, even if that someone else is no other than his very own best friend. So now he got an excuse of not being there, but still the question of why Taani didn't stop him kept hitting his mind.

Taani was nervous, everyone in her house were in a rush, preparing sweets, cleaning her home, Panchi informed her uncle about Yuvi and Taani's relationship and that his parents will be coming their home this evening.Her uncle was happy for Taani, he knew Yuvi since childhood, so he had no issue with him. Panchi walks in the room and see's Taani walking back and forth out of tension.

Panchi: Taani di relax! Yuvi k parents ate hi honge! Itna tension kis baat ki hai? Your looking perfect!! wo log apko pasand karlenge! Don't worry!

Taani: (tensed) Muje uss baat ki tension nahi hai ! Abhi muje Kiya ne message bheja ki Rey aaj Musical drama mein perform karega! Purey 2 min ki solo performance hai, wo bhi contemprory! Tumhe pata hai na hez perfect in it. Aur itne saare logo k beech performe karega, it's a huge day for him. Maine rey ka koi stage performance miss nahi kiya! Toh phir ye kaise miss kar sakti hu main!

Panchi : (annoyed)Di! Aaj apki rishtey ki baat hone wali hai! For god's sake! Yuvi k parents apko dekhne ayenge, apki aur Yuvi ki engagement etc k bare mein baat karne, and tume Rey ka performance dekhne jana hai? No ways Taani di, aap kahi nahi jayenge!

Taani: Panchi main Rey ka performance miss nahi kar sakti! Main jaldi jake jaldi wapus aungi! Bas 2 min ka performance toh hai, jaldii wapus aa jaungi pakkka!!

Panchi: Taani di aap deciede kar lo, today you have to choose, Yuvi ya Rey! Kyunki aaj ap in mein se kisi ek k saath hi ho sakti hai! either aap yaha rukho, ya phir rey k pass chale jao!

Taani: (with tears in her eyes) in dono mein se kisi ko bhi choose karu toh ek humesha k liye kho dungi, agar yaha rukhi to mere rishtey ki baat ho jayegi aur main Rey ko kho dungi, aur agar aaj main Rey k paas chali gayi toh Yuvi ko kho dungi. Dono taraf haar toh meri hi hai na?

Panchi: (feeling bad for Taani) But you have to choose di, aaj nahi toh kal ye hona hi tha!

Taani looks at her bikes keys and then looks at Panchi, Panchi was worried, she didn't know whether to support Taani or to convience her to stay back home.

Rey was in the green room, Yuvi had tried calling him but Rey didn't answer, he didn't want to speak to anyone now, he wanted to be quiet, he tried remembering his dance steps but all he could think of was what happened last night between them and then Yuvi's words about him goin to meet Taani's parents. Kiya walks in and looks at Rey.

Kiya: Are you alright? I know thode nervous ho apne dance ko leke but don't worry, you'l be fine!

Rey frustrated, remains quiet and again fixes her shirt, Kiya keeps talking and Rey ignores her, he wanted to remain quiet.

Kiya: (irritated)Say something Rey, main kabse bole ja rahi hu, and tum ho ki kuch bol hi nahi rahe ho! You know what Rey, jabse hum relationship mein aye hai tabse tum kuch bolte hi nahi, main hi bolti rehti hu. This is not fair Rey, kabhi kabhi apne dil ki baat bhi bolna chaiye, aise how wil I know you more!

Rey: (annoyed with Kiya's complaints) Kya tum complain karne k alawa kuch aur kar sakti ho? Tum baat nahi karti! Tum sirf complain karti ho! rey tum ye kyu karte ho, tum wo kyu nhai karte, isse baat kyu karte ho, mujse baat kyu nhai karte! Enough Kiya! Main tensed hu na! so jab main tensed hu tab muje chup rehna pasand hai ok! So chup raho please!

Kiya was hurt, she was just trying to be a good girlfriend. But Rey was rude to her today. She was almost in tears. She looks around at other dancers who were now staring at them, rey was still fixing his hair, she leaves the green room without creating a scene.

Yuvi's parents reach Taani's home, Taani's uncle welcome them and they start talking about the rituals. Although Yuvi's dad was not liking what was happening, he was acting normal because of his son's happiness. He wasn't speaking much, it was Yuvi's mum who was discussing everything with Taani's guardians.Yuvi was sitting all nervous and happy! He was excited about all what was happening,He keeps looking at Taani's room's door, After discussing everything Taani's aunt tells Panchi to call Taani out of her room. Yuvi eyes lights up, he was restless, he wanted to see Taani. He was sitting serious all this while, but on hearing Taani's name he gives a broad smile and looks at Panchi.

But Panchi looked Tensed, she slowly turns and walks in the room,

Panchi: (to herself) Godd Taani di kaha ho aap! Muje pata tha aap time pe nahi pochoge. Ab muje in sabke k bich fasakar khud Rey ka performance dekh rahi hogi. Apke iss decision k wajah se bohot gadbad hogi di, bohot gadbad hogi!

Taani gets up and goes outside. Her aunt was avoiding her, her uncle was pretending as if he didn't see her, she could see they all were upset. She nervously goes near her uncle, but he gets up and goes inside his room and closes the door.
