I Predict The Storyline Will Be Something Like This ...

Even Though Mahen & Nikhila Know That Shiv's First Wife Will Die, He Never Knew About This Until Later.
I Think That The Girl In The Picture (His First & Only Love)Was His First Wife, But She Died Within A Year Of Their Marriage. Mahen & Nikhila Never Knew About The Marriage, As Shiv Knew That His Love Would Not Be Accepted Into The Family. So Gauri May Not Die In The End. But After Gauri Finds Out About Mahen & Nikhila's Plan, She Thinks That Shiv Is In On It Too. Gauri Thinks Back & Realises That Was The Reason Why Shiv Says He Couldn't Ever Love Her. Their Marriage Was Just A Plan!
So She Decides To Leave! Gauri Goes To Pack Her Bags & Unexpectedly Shiv Stops Her. Then He Confesses That He Loves Her. He Says That He Had Nothing To Do With The Plan, It Was All Last Minute & Forced Upon Him, He Never Knew That He Would Fall In Love With Her. Gauri Believes Him And The Story Carries On From There.

For those hooked on to 'Karam Apna Apna' (Star Plus), here's news. Actor Salil Ankola, who returned to the Balaji fold after being made to leave 'Bigg Boss' (Sony), will be no longer be playing sugar daddy on the show.

It turns out that Anokla, who plays Shiv's (Iqbal Khan) father and Achint Kaur who plays his mother, are the real villains of the story. So far, both have appeared benevolent, but their true colours are soon to be revealed. It appears that the two are aware that whoever marries Shiv will die in the space of a year.

Hence, the haste to get Gauri married to Shiv. In 'Karam..', the protagonist has 365 days to tide over the crisis. Viewers may recollect a similar plot in the 'Kkusum' track, since it also came from the Balaji stable. It also reminds one on 'Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki' (Sahara One).
