Both of you bring out good points about the "most important" character of BRKD. I believe baldev is intelligent to a point, coz his intelligence has to do with his own definition of that word. That is why he claims to Nandini outside in the garden setting that "tum baki sab logo ki tarah bewaqoof nahi ho, smart ho" (paraphrasing), possibly and probably implying that he is the smartest, the most intelligent of them all. Suppose that is the trait of an egomaniacal, narcissistic (Aashna and moi fav word ! 😉) personality that baldev is.
Also knowing about Nupur is not going to get him the property. His obsession, greed and misplaced power to snatch entire Asthana wealth seems to be his singleminded purpose. Just my 2c!
And refreshed, agree that no one else knows of Nandini's convo with her dad, which tells me that she is "intelligent, smart, clever" esp when warranted. And taking Meera to a posh hospital as opposed to a cornerside dhaba type hospital was again a sign of his power-hungry personality, when he threatens the doctor that "dont you know i am the head of asthana pharmaceuticals??" etc. He abused his pharmaceutical position as a scare tactic against the doctor, rather than using the ethics or morality or the knowledge that he is not supposed to do that. So to that extent, it was his stupidity (lack of intelligence, foolishness ?!). Again my 2c! 😊
His overconfidence will drown him, into a black hole, an abyss, but not any time soon, or just before the serial is slated to come to a close ! Me hopes and prays that BRKD goes on for years (like Varuna Badola's Astitva did a decade ago, wow !! 👏⭐️)
