Karan is FABULOUS in emotional scenes, his EYES!! They narrate an entire book of emotions, and I can read it all, and it's just so romantic and I'd fall in love with them! If I was an actress acting opposite KSG, with him in all his gorgeousness, looking at me like that! Even if my rational mind says that it's all acting, I'd still fall for him in that moment! I mean, lets be honest, which woman with a heart wouldn't after looking into those eyes? I sometimes feel sorry for Surbhi, the guy is sooo charming! Plus his good looks and fabulous acting, it looks like Karan is in love with Zoya, not just Asad.

I read somewhere that Karan takes a lot of time to get out of Asad's character, and usually his wife is understanding about that. But once in a while she tells him to to just snap out of it. Do you know what this means? This means that Karan actually LIVES the character of Asad while he shoots. Do you know that there are VERY few actors who commit themselves to their characters so much that they BECOME the character. Very few of them are this committed, one of them being Daniel Day Lewis, who just won the Oscars for best actor for the second freaking time. He said in one of his interviews "My wife has lived with some strange men for the past sixteen years." ...

Karan is the only other actor that I've heard saying this of. So when he's acting like he's in love with Zoya, I think Karan is actually in love with Zoya, not Surbhi the actress, but Zoya the character. Whereas for normal actors like Surbhi (she's amazing too, but doesn't internalize it like Karan) it's just an emotional scene. Karan actually feels it, which is why we feel his pain, his angst, his love through his eyes. I think bichare ko time bahaut lagta hai, to switch that on and off, which is why he's struggled after every "cut" in a romantic scene. Notice it in the behind the scenes clip of the "bhaang wala dimple scene" on the Kabhi appreciation thread. It's very evident that Karan is an actor who internalizes everything. While this makes for great performances and happy producers, directors and fans. I think Karan actually suffers every time he has switch his reality. I think this is also the reason why he falls for people that he acts with, it's psychologically natural for actors like him. It's very difficult and would take a lot of mind training to switch it on and off soo quickly, and Karan hasn't mastered it because he hasn't been doing this for too long. I am not justifying any of his past actions, but just saying that this behavior actually makes sense for an actor like him who internalizes everything.

*Disclaimer, this is my personal opinion, I might be totally off. Please don't bash actors or their relationships with what I just said here. Let's not make this thread a battle ground for fan camp wars. I have no intention of starting one of those! Let's see how many of you truly understand why I am trying to say here and for how long this thread remains kosher. More discussion on the topic is surely welcome!

karan is one of the BEST actors on the silver screen, currently... the way he emotes each and every emotion is breathtaking and mind blowing... his eyes speak the words his lips can't... he makes asad jump out of the screen and come alive right in front of your eyes, as if YOU'RE the one he's talking to, and not zoya, or ammi or anyone else... THATS what you call acting and that is what is called true talent. that man deserves all the popularity he's earned and much, much more... be it armaan or AAK, not for ONE moment do you feel that its a serial you're watching... you feel as if the man in front of you is a part and parcel of your life, with whom you share joys as well as your sorrows...

dunno if im making sense, or not... but thats one of the reasons y i love ksg... because of the way he manages to capture ur heart with his flawless portrayal of any character he plays...

I agree completely.. especially the bold parts. Karan makes Asad real. A real three dimensional character that you can't help but feel for. I think that this is the reason Karan has SOOO many more fans than other actors on television. This is also the reason why I think Karan is the only actor on TV who internalizes his emotions. It's hard to LIVE like a character for so many years yaar, no wonder it drives him insane.

I totally agree with you, he really gets into the skin of his character and that's what makes him exceptional. Actors sometimes become so engrossed in their characters that it sometimes translates off-screen into real life relationships , however sadly I've noticed that a lot of them break up after their shows are over.

This is why I fell in love with his acting. VERY FEW ACTORS can internalize the feelings from scene and a character and very actors can ACT WITH THEIR EYES. that to me is the sign of a truly committed and talented actor. One look at his eyes, and I know the myriad of things his character is feeling, because Karan is feeling them along with him. <3

Agree with all that you have to say, especially the bold part. I want to explain why they break up after shows/movies end. Actors who do get together while working with their costars break up after the show is over because after the show ends, the character (in this case, Asad) fades away from the actor. This is why they will stop feeling "the feeling" that they had for this actor, which is actually for this character, which no longer exists. Actors who internalize their feelings confuse their realities all the time, which is why life is actually quite difficult for these actors. These actors are usually more emotional and are prone to become a psychological wreak than people from other vocations. I don't know if I'm making any sense here, or just confusing you more.
