DILLI DOSE
ALL FOR A CAUSE...
MANDVI SHARMA
Delhi never sits back whenever the clarion blares for a social cause. Marking World AIDS Day was social worker Karuna Roy with a special theme programme on the same. And the tele star power was present in full gusto to lend their support. Sujal aka Rajeev Khandelwal was conspicuous in that flamboyant style, so typical of him. The girls screamed "Sujal" the moment he stepped on stage and the claps just wouldn't stop. However, his peer Anuuj Saawhney was in store for some disappointment. By the time he came to the stage, the enthusiasm in the crowd seemed to have mellowed down. But Anuuj was quick to remark, "Not fair! If Rajeev can get so many claps then I too deserve some!" Sangeeta Ghosh maintained a low profile but never once let that brilliant smile go from her face.
"The longest march begins with the smallest step. So, we have to make constant efforts to reach our goal. It might take some time but people like Karuna can make it happen."

"I strongly feel that if someone around me can have AIDS, so can I. I hope that this fight against HIV/AIDS comes as a movement with everybody joining in... Hum honge kamiyab ek din!"
"Gone are the days when people in our country used to shy away from talks on AIDS. The younger India is educated and is ready to come together to fight for a cause."
