The couple chose a traditional Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha ritual for their wedding. The intimate event was attended by close family and friends. On their special day, Samantha was seen in a red saree, while Raj wore a simple payjama kurta complemented by a golden jacket.

Despite never publicly confirming their relationship, speculation about Samantha and Raj began in early 2024 due to their frequent appearances together at various events. The couple had previously worked together on Prime Video projects, with Samantha starring in The Family Man Season 2 and Raj directing Citadel: Honey Bunny. This marks the second marriage for both individuals; Samantha was previously married to actor Naga Chaitanya (2017–2021), and Raj was previously married to Shhyamali De.
