Chapter 8

Pearl is shocked to hear someone knocking at 1am. She wake up and takes broom stick in one hand and some big kuchi on the other and slowly opens the door. Its none other than Caryn who is here to pick up her house keys as Suha will be sleeping right now. Pearl asks when she gave keys, Caryn says she gave to Smiles before going to hospital. Pearl realizes Smiles forgot to tell her and searches for the key. Pearl in mind voice "Andaavaa intha ponnu rathiri oru manikku key kekuthu. Suha mattum ah sleeping, naanga ellam book ah read pannithu irukom". Finally she finds the key and gives to Caryn. Pearl asks if she want coffee or tea, Caryn says no formalities at 1AM and leaves. Pearl again in mind-voice "1 AM ku vanthate thappu, ithula formalities patti talking intha ponnu". While Pearl going upstairs Jinju asks "Ithu pei ulavum time what are you doing". Pearl says "Vaaya mooditu sleep, I will tell in the morning". Jinju notices her mom being annoyed and goes back to room.

Its Saturday morning and all ladies in the colony are worried about how to manage their kids next 2 days. While Ratna doesn't need to worry about this as its her daughter Kritu who need to worry on how to manage her mom for 2 days. Ratna is sitting in sofa trying to find how to take screenshots in her new mobile. Something clicks on her mind and calls Shobi. She asks Shobi if she is free today to teach her how to ride bike. Shobi thinks for a second and agrees to teach her and asks her to come in 1hr as bike riding is good for health in the morning. Ratna nods happilly and says she will come. Kritu asks Ratna what she gonna do. Ratna says she is going to learn how to ride a bike from Shobi aunty. Kritu asks "Enna kind of bike ma? Hero honda or scooter type?". Ratna says she need to see after going only. Kritu asks if she is not scared to go alone and what happened to her "I am scared" dialog and makes fun of her mom. Something is puzzling in Ratna's mind and calls Esther and asks if she wanna come see her learning how to ride a bike from Shobi. Esther says she is free and will join her, then Ratna calls Mini and says the same, Mini too says she will come. Mini calls Pearl and asks her to come too. Pearl agrees and calls Jaya and Shubba and asks them to come too as they all can have a good chit chat in the park when Ratna is learning. Kritu asks Ratna if she is ready. Ratna happily says yess Mini aunty and Esther aunty are coming with her.

Ratna is waiting near Starbucks for Mini and Esther to join her. For her shock Pearl, Jaya and Shubba comes first and says that Mini asked them to come too. After everyone comes, all go and knock Shobi's house, Shemmo opens the door. He is shocked seeing all the aunties together. He in mind-voice "Enna ivlo aunties vanthu irukanga? Amma Magalir Sangam arrange pannithangala, avanga pannalum pannuvanga". 😆 Jaya says "Thambii, thambiii". Shemmo comes back to reality and welcomes them and Shobi too comes from kitchen and welcomes. Shobi ask them to sit and says "Bike learn panna ivlo pera?". Ratna says "No no all are there to see me learning". Esther and Mini says that they are here to learn too. Pearl, Jaya and Shubba too says the same. Shobi is shocked. Shemmo in mindvoice "Hahahahahahahaha antha bike learn panna ivlo pera? Omggg". Shemmo couldn't control his laugh and runs into his room.

Shobi says lets goto basement, Ratna curiously asks "Bike ride learn panna why basement?". Shobi replies "Basement is spacious and none wont come there easily main aa ennoda son Shemmo wont disturb me when I ride bike". Pearl is looking oru maathiri aa. All goes to basement and see exercise bike. 🤣 Ratna is shocked and asks "SHOBIII, that day neenga yen veeduku vanthapo bike ride pannuven nu sonneengalee". Shobi says "Aama sonnen thaan. Itho exercise bike ah thaan naan bike nu kupduven. Why neenga itha learn panna thaane vantheenga?". Other 5 Aunties are muraichufying Ratna. Pearl says "Hero Honda bike nu nenaichuttom". 😆 Shobi understands and stares at Ratna back. Shobi says "Ada paavi, hahahahaha antha bike ellam naan touch pannathe illa, how can I ride that? Hahahaha Ratna super po". All ladies starts to laugh, even Ratna laughs. Shobi asks them what they want to drink. Ratna in mindvoice "Starbucks vaangi kudutha super ah irukum". Jaya then turns to Ratna and says "Starbucks ellam Shobi veedla illa". All others hears and starts laughing.

Shemmo hears the aunties laughing and laughs too. He sees out of the window and notices Tanu walking alone listening to music. Suddenly he gets an idea and gets ready fast. 😕
