I used to tease Shahid when he had to work long hours?

This kid is cute, playful and all smiles. Taarzan - The Wonder Car might have been a speed-breaker in her career but Ayesha Takia has caught the Bollywood expressway with films like Dil Maange More and Socha Na Tha. The doll-face has caught the interest of filmmakers and even has a fan in Preity Zinta!
IndiaFM catches Ayesha at the press meet of the film. Dressed in a flamboyant magenta and poison purple outfit, the petite actress gabs about her tomboyish character, Shagun and co-star Shahid Kapur.
How has it been so far?
It's been quite a ride.
What got you to sign the film?
I liked the script. There were a bagful of characters, which makes the narrative interesting.

It's a romantic comedy and I had a blast working in it.
What is the character that you play?
I play Shagun. She is very casual and isn't too particular about the way she presents herself. Shagun is a Khadus character who has constant fights with Shahid. She is a fashion designer by profession.
Talking of which, what is your personal style like?
I love all bright colors. I like to go all out!
Tell us about co-star Shahid. How was he to work with?
He is a very talented actor. All I knew was to come onto the sets and mouth my lines. He got me aware of the technicalities. Camera facing, angles, profiles all of this is Shahid's tuition.
Any bad vibes with the other girls?
To start with, I didn't have too many scenes with the Soha and Tulip. And we were very cordial with each other. No problems whatsoever!
How did you manage the song-n-dance bit?
Well, I am not half as good as Shahid. But I like to dance, because I enjoy it.
With all you girls and Shahid, share with us some fun that you guys had on the sets.
Oh there were lots of times when two of us girls would finish our scenes and Shahid would still be shooting his portion with the third. I would wave out to Shahid and tease him that he had to still shoot while we were away enjoying!

How is Anant as a director?
He is good and fun to work with.
What are the films that you are looking at from now on?
I debuted with the typical heroine role that was glamour-centric. Now I want to press for performance centric roles where my acting capabilities will be put to test. Socha Na Tha does that for me.

Hulchul. I loved it!
