Some how I am not liking CV's spoiling sumitra's character ..I know they need to show some one grey to give story some spice..But still I am not getting it

Bhairon and Sumitra are the best example for "In-laws".

Sumitra who always treated her bahu as her daughter ( Sometimes I felt she loved her bahu more than her own daughter and Son)

She always stood for right ( she stood by gehna during her initial days)

Now they are showing her jealous of ganga( because everyone is comparing her with Anandi). That is very silly ( A person won't change overnight)

Some how it is very difficult to see her like that..

Sumi's change is very sudden. But I don't think she will turn negative. She might oppose Jagya-Ganga marriage initially, then Anandi or somebody else will make her understand.

It will be good if CVs throw some light into Sumitra's thought process.

I do not think she is turning negative. She is hating the fact that everyone is comparing Ganga with Anandi.

As a mother I can understand her feelings. If someone comes and starts comparing their child to mine and starts praising them or equating them to my child.. my inner instincts will wanna kick their tush LOL

thats how mothers are...

ridiculously unreasonable when it comes to their children. :)

The only way for Sumitra to not behave that way is when they stop comparing Ganga with Anandi.

I hope Ganga sees that.. cause I think she is very smart and will tell everyone that she is not like Anandi and different.

So probably that is when Sumi will feel better towards Ganga.

SEcondly Anandi was raised by her so , no way she thinks her to be as her daughter in law. Where as Ganga will be DIL. So there will be comparisons unintentional which will lead to tiffs. But Ganga being Ganga will handle it and SUmitra being nice-basic nature of hers -- will see her error and agree.

There just needs to be someone to point her mistake out and she will change. Just like how when Jagya pointed that why is she being biased towards his marriage .. when in fact her own daughter and Anandi both were married twice.

Sumitra agreed after listening to him and smiled.

So once someone points out that she is wrong in her thinking Be that Jagya or Anandi or bhairav she will see the error of her ways.

I don't think they are spoiling Sumi's character. I agree with Suchi.. It is very natural for a mother to feel the way she is feeling. Nobody likes the constant comparisons. She has let go of her daughter with difficulty and now everyone is comparing and telling that Ganga is same as Anandi, if not better. She even once said something on the lines that not everyone can tread the path that Anandi has taken. For her, Anandi has a special place and is the best in the world. Nobody can be like her. So, she is not able to come to terms that Ganga in every way is very similar to Anandi. She is probably feeling that her daughter is getting replaced.

They destroyed almost all the characters, so why should not her? They are so boring they do not know what to invent new. Disaster for the creative team of BV!!!

I don't find anything wrong with Sumitra. I feel rather its DS who suddenly comparing Ganga with anandi and saying she is better than anandi is stupid. Plz cvs stop this comparison nonsense. Both have there own identity and font make jagya fall in love with Ganga bcos she is like anandi.

Surabhi, I think the comparison was started during the grand dinner time. They were praising Ganga's cooking.

Only Sumi is showing bit of negative feelings, that too, when provoked with Anandi-Ganga comparisons. From the beginning Sanchi is shown as adamant and narrow minded; that is not changed so far.

But other than that, I feel, all characters are developing in promising ways. CM has changed from the doubting aunt to a very loving mom. DS who had second thoughts about Anandi-Shiv, completely got over the thoughts. And DS looks fully reformed regarding the social evils she was once part of. Jagya is a reformed person. Anandi's apprehensions are gone. She and Shiv are coming closer. Ganga is progressing well; got Mannu back, divorce in progress and started studying.
