@ Asru, when I say single hand puller, means there were instances when Anandi carried a full episode on her shoulders or sometimes back to back episodes, but with Toral as Anandi, I can't stand her if she takes more than half the screen space of an episode. I can only bear her for a little time in every episode and there too sometimes I forward scenes.
This is because I have failed too see Anandi in her. Hence I have stopped feeling for the character as well. I no longer feel very happy or sad for Anandi's character. I just watch the scene for the sake of story development and move on.
This is why I feel Toral was the not the best replacement.
Sorry if that sounds outright rude, but I am being honest and do not intend to hurt any members feelings.
Esha - I do agree with you to a certain extent.I am yet to feel for the character too.Right now she is too busy trying to be A only when she herself starts to feel like A then we will be able to feel for her.
But I am still giving her a chance because Initially I felt this way post leap time too.I couldn't see A in her.But I just kept watching the show anyway because of the story and finally got used to seeing her face as A even if she did not match my perception. Then once I learnt to accept her as A it was just about her performance which was average most of the time sometimes exceptional and sometime below the par.
I read Shashank's interview some where where he said that he and P had to do auditions and look test so many times after which they had workshops and so on so forth before they actually started to shoot.
T did not have that benefit. She was finalised and started to shoot almost immediately. So the only thing that now the CVs can do is concentrate on other tracks and give her time to understand and get to know ANandi then inly she can feel Anandi.
It is not just Toral any actress even much more talented actor than T would have tough time stepping into the show at this juncture
