To be completely just to her character and giving you her view based on what we have been shown.

No bias at all :)

Disclaimer : all the opinions are my own based on what I have watched the last couple of months.

In the beginning of the leap, she was portrayed as the second Archana who was strong , loving and had a golden heart. Her character has been persistent all along except for her misplacement of priorities.

Arjun confesses his love for Purvi, Purvi is reluctant.
She stops him when he is leaving at the airport , well an instinct stops Arjun.
They share their feelings to each other, all is well.
Purvi was unaware of his promise to Marry Ovi.
By then even Arjun forgot his promise (so much for childhood friendship)
When Purvi comes to know he is engaged to her "sister", she is hurt.
She glances at Ovi and Arjun , can't help feeling jealous.
Arjun reassures her it's her he loves, he will tell Everyone he loves her.
He finally does and the two reunite.
Of course , Archana wasn't going to accept a son in law who cheated her other daughter so she puts forth a condition to give up his luxurious life.
Purvi sees Arjun struggle , working as a mechanic and he final fulfills Archana's condition of handing 10 thousand rupees of his own income.
Then everyone is happy, Purvi and Arjun are happy.
In the midst of their engagement and wedding .. Arjun takes a bullet for her.
Purvi does know Ovi loves Arjun a lot but if she doesn't accept Arjun she would be ruining 3 lives , while she hoped Ovi would soon recover from this heartbreak.
When Ovi puts the deal forward , she accepted it for her mother. Her happiness was really because of her mom reuniting with her long lost family.
When she found out she was pregnant , she left . She didn't want to disrupt Arjun and ovi's marriage.
She figured they would work it out.
But destiny played yet another cruel game, Ovi's pregnancy had to be dealt by Dr. onir who proposed to her because he liked her. When he found our she was pregnant , he told her it would be hard to live here alone as a single mother.
Purvi and Arjun come face to face once again but she is determined to make his and ovi's marriage work.
Hence she goes through anything to bring Ovi to the right part (e.g quit alcohol, love the baby)
Finally Ovi makes peace with the past, and befriends Purvi
They now became "sisters"
When Ovi loses her child , she thought that way Ovi would not be depressed about her stillborn while Pari would be with be with her biological father hence she swaps the babies.
The yearning for the baby was a natural instinct on a mother's part.
When the truth reveals, she is ashamed but her and onir has sticked to one thing ; they did it for everyone's betterment.
Onir lost his license , Purvi feels responsible.

Purvi never meant harm. She did make mistakes , a lot of them but she always thought everything would work out.
I know we don't particularly like her actions but if we look at it from her perspective she did nothing wrong.
She did not want to hurt anyone hence she did all this.

My opinion : (personal) about time she minds her own business

I like your recap of the story which nicely outlines all the times Purvi should have really minded her own business. :)

Where I disagree with you is that now is actually *not* the time to stop meddling. She has a daughter who she brought into the world and the little one is/should be more important than anything and anybody else. She should take on the whole world if that is what it takes to stand up and care for little Pari.

Besides, what does she have to lose? Her family hates her, her aai is in a coma, Arjun is married to Ovi and her husband of convenience has lost his medical license. She should continue her mahaanta streak except this time it should be directed at little deserving Pari rather than all the ill-baked and butchered and selfish and stupid characters that make up her famil(ies). (Just my POV towards a healthy discussion :)).

Really like your username, it's super cool

Coming back to Purvi, she never really succeeded as a mother. She was hiding the existence of Pari from her biological father. She married a complete stranger because of "society". Then she finally gave her up to her "sister" who has not been the most stable person in the family. Arguments are she gave Pari to Arjun (her biological father). And look at how that is turning out lol
About time she starts minding her own business and make "sacrifices" only when needed. Her lame excuse for giving up her baby was Ovi would go into depression 😆
And look what happened now
If she just kept the baby to herself , minded her own business no one would learn the truth of Pari's biological history.

The problem with Purvi's decisions started when she started 'playing God'' or lets say, making sacrifices and thinking that things should happen only Her way. This instead of being that teenager she was supposed to be... That is where it all started.

The reason for her intentions not living up to their goodness😉 is the fact that she makes one sacrifice and then overrides it with one more making sure the the first sacrifice goes to cinders.. It is kind of human to make mistakes and that is exactly why one should not try being God😊

Take for example her first sacrifice.. She sacrificed her 'love' for her aai's happiness.. Fine.. But as human as Purvi was, she could not keep away from longing for what could have been.. So she ran away..

Now comes the time Ovi needs treatment from Onir.. Basically this was not the time to again play God.. Purvi should have not let the first 'sacrifice' be derailed by making her presence at the chawl from which she had run away for a specific reason, her first 'sacrifice'. But Purvi wanted to do it again, ie play God..

From then on, it was one act of God over the other, each causing more havoc.. The havoc was because Purvi is only human. She cannot control her human follies but she still is most adamant to stay on her high perch of making 'sacrifices' to others.

That is where she goes wrong. When we are human, we need to stay human and let others make their human mistakes and learn from them.. They day we decide that we know what is best for the others, we should also be ready to accept the consequences of the responsibility that comes by making such decisions..Purvi unfortunately has yet to learn about doing that.

Breaking news , she is not human
Okay if she were human
She would never seperate her baby from her biological father
So that her "sister" is happy
If she didn't care about Ovi when she was dying, then why now ?
Why , over her baby ?
She ran away because apparently she couldn't see Arjun with anyone else
But then she is living here with her famous gynac husband for the last 6 months
What if onir wasn't her husband
How could she convince him to treat her sister lol

i always thought that purvi gave up pari bc she felt guilty about the accident. she knows that if she and onir didnt make up an excuse to go to kolkota then arovi would not have accompanied them and then ovi would not have lost her baby.

But Purvi did try to stop Ovi and Arjun
So I don't think she felt guilty
She just did it because she thought Ovi would be happy I guess

All your questions are valid and that is why I think that Purvi is one of the worst written characters in serial history..
The problem is that Purvi thinks she knows best when she most certainly does not.. That and the fact that she has this stupid belief her 'sacrifices' are the best ways to solve issues.. This when she was just a teenager..

At every stage this girl has very wrong priorities and thinks she is right about them. Hence the statement she plays God but takes no responsibilities for the problems that go with her decision except for crying..
