OK FARHAN AKHTER opened a campaign/community called MARD in social networking site.
Ok now my question is,IS these kind of campaigns effects the intentions of criminals because these kind of campaigns stays upto Social networking sites and maybe helps 10%.

When the Delhi rape Protest happened in Delhi I thought the people of india will become more aloof, but what i see is every month there is a new rape case.

The changes should be made by the GOVERNMENT and the POLICEMEN,Because if they become strict and responsible then the criminals will never think of doing anything like that.

I heard in countries like Saudi arabia and palestine they are giving STRICT punishment to rapist.

I am not an INDIAN,but I am a GIRL.And I feel bad for them who are the victims of Women violence.

P.S: please post ur valuable comments and try to keep it healthy discussion.😊

I agree with you.

The judicial system, the police and the government should do something about this now, they need to make strict laws and put these bas***ds in jail. Also the sad thing is that there are many men in India who are animals like the rapists which has been in the news lately.

It's not just normal people, also celebrities like Salman Khan has abused several women and made some very discriminating comments about women but the government can't do anything when it comes to celebrities because they more powerful.

Let's hope the law get better.

😲 😲

That's not even a crime . I understand hitting a girl or a person but saying negative things in them is not illeagal . It's called freedom of speech .

I hit someone I can goto jail

But if i call them a Jerk or jackass or douchebag it's not illeagal

They are just words you can not and should be put in pension over some words

There is only so much that the law enforcement agencies can do...I totally agree that the laws need to be stricter and justice should be quick and not drag over for years and years...until the case loses its relevance...but making the people aware is equally important...so I agree with M.A.R.D...and similar programs...which aim at raising awareness...
One thing that is wrong with the Police Dept in India is that often times they shoot the messanger...meaning that if someone informs them of a crime ...or tries to block a crime...that person is troubled so much by the police that they think its better not to help than get into some legal trouble just for helping...If this attitude stops...many more people will come out for helping...
