Where do I even begin with this chapter, Mary?
This is one of my most favorite parts...Arnav's reluctance to go to the ball...Anjali being the strong one and really not giving him a choice, Khushi getting ready, looking forward to the anticipation of seeing him again...Meeting Dadu...(dadi in Hindi!)...Imad and Anjali...Imad trying to play Cupid by making Arnav jealous! The genuine warmth between the Raizadas and the Nawab's family! I loved the dance and Khushi's declaration that the Singh Raizada cannot be taken away from her...Asking him, begging him for an apology because that's what she needs to hear it now...because no matter what, he is still all she wants...
The wardrobe choices for ArHi & Anjali were divine...and the Cartier bracelet, a classic! And the necklace! Has there ever been a necklace more precious than the most expensive set of diamonds & rubies!!!??? Fabulous!
And Ashlesha...what an apt choice for a name...to describe someone who is immortalized in the stars! Ashlesha's depression surrounding her own past, her own pathos if you will, led her to make the ultimate sacrifice...She loved the Nawab with just as much intensity as Arnav loves Khushi...The star Ashlesha has this kind of very polarizing, intense characteristic...As you may know, Ashlesha is the 9th star or nakshatra in Hindu astrology. It is a powerful star, in certain phases with negative connotations...Its also has a very dominant female energy, often aligned with the serpent god. And guess what, my birth nakshatra is Ashlesha! I kid you not!
Will comment on Part 8 now!😊
