i disagree with the notion that what ovi did was a personal problem. this is a human life we are talking about. the abortion argument wouldnt even work bc at 6 months a baby is a viable being. it is in the interest of society to defend those that cant defend themselves. ovi was killing a child and thatis not a personal problem

Wow. No need to get so crazy over the statement. I clearly stated that she was careless and it definitely isn't something unheard of. Obviously there are major side effects to it , no need to tell me since I am quite aware but trying to send her to jail for that seems ridiculous.
And yes I feel that she was stupid enough to be an alcoholic even after the warnings but I also feel that she had changed genuinely later on. No, her treatment towards her baby wasn't justified but it wasn't something that she should be jailed for as she rectified it later on. Real issues...to be honest most of these women are depressed or going through tough emotional times, for Ovi, it was her insecurities that led to her drinking problem. And the baby being still-born is her fault to some extent BUT that doesn't give anyone else the right to hide the facts from her. She had the right to know, it would have been better if the CVs had used it as a social message to what happens when you do stupid things while pregnant.
BTW, my statement was to say that her drinking shouldn't be the reason why she should go to jail, and I think nature has served her already by taking her baby away.
