Chapter 16
Taani was tensed as she couldn't find Rey. She looks all over the place, the place was all crowded, lighted up with festive lights, it was very noisy, crackers and other fireworks noise, and people talking, She could see Kiya and Panchi and many strangers but not Rey, few minutes ago he was right infront of her, but now he wasn't there. She moves ahead looking for him, not tensed but desperate, it was as if Rey was her childhood crush whom shez seeing after many years,
Suddenly she see's some Punjabi dancers doing Bhangda surrounded by a huge crowd,
Taani: (smiles) Dance?? Pakka Rey bhi yahi hoga!!(she runs and pushes the people and reaches in front
And as expected Rey was admist all of them dancing Bhangda , She couldn't stop smiling looking at him enjoying, the Punjabi music was preppy enough that Tani started moving her shoulders and clapping according to the beats, Rey see's her and signals her to come and join them, Taani just nodes her head saying no and signals him to carry on. Rey laughs and comes near her, as he was coming towards her, Taani's heart beat was increasing, it was as if the whole world was moving in slow motion, he holds her hand and pulls her in the dance, and Taani couldn't help but just smile and follow him, as if she was hypnotized.
Rey does the dance, Taani also joins him, both were doing some bhangda dance, when suddenly Taani stops and just stares at Rey enjoying himself.Rey was into his dance, he see's her staring at her and gradually slows down dancing, he was confused with her looks, he couldn't figure out what exactly was going on in Taani's mind, She smiles and directly hugs him, Rey was confused, she hugged him tight around his neck.
Confused Rey smiles and hugs her back, he holds her head with one hand, and one hand on her waist. She rests her head on his shoulder. Yuvi standing from a distance see's this, he was dancing bhangda too, but now he could not dance. He could see how engrossed Taani was into Rey. She never hugged him like that, he feels bad, he quickly turns, swallows his saliva and starts walking away. He see's kiya who was standing behind him, She looks at Taarey and then at Yuvi, Yuvi quickly gives her a fake smile,
Yuvi: (fake happiness) Aarey Kiya! Maaza aa raha hai na? tu pehli bar ayi hai na yaha? Kaisa lag raha hai?
Kiya: (straight face) enough Yuvi, don't pretend to be so cool about it. I know exactly what your goin through.
Yuvi: (fake smile, looking everywhere else except kiya) Kitne log hai na yaha? Panchi kaha hai? Moti zarur kuch khane gayi hogi. Usko khana mila to bus!
Kiya: Yuvi! Topic change karne se fact change nahi hoga! Face it, and for once just speak about it. Tum ye sab kuch kab tak ignore karoge? I think its high time you must take an action. Taani tumhe tab tak seriously nahi legi, jab tak tum apne relationship ko next level pe nahi le jate!
Yuvi looks staright at Kiya,
Kiya: bachpan se relationship mein ho! its time you make it official. Relationship official hoga than Taani tumhare relationship ko seriously legi. Apna parents se Taani k bare mein baat karo Yuvi.
Kiya made sense to Yuvi, she was right, he had to make thei r relationship official now, although he knows how much his dad dislikes taani. But he was ready to face everything to be with her.Yuvi gives Kiya a helpless smile. Just than Panchi comes and they quickly change the topic.
Taani breaks the hug and looks at Rey, she smiles at him, Rey couldn't help but smile back. She didn't know what to say, Rey too was speechless, she keeps biting her lower lip with her upper lip out of awkwardness. Rey scratches his head too. The bhangda drum guy comes near them and plays the dholl.. Rey looks at Taani, smiles and starts doin Punjabi steps again, Taani smiles back and joins him. Both of them smiling at each other while dancing.

Few hours later
Yuvi driving his jeep and Rey sitting next to him, they dropped Taani and Panchi. Rey keeps thinking the way Taani hugged him today, he couldnt stop smiling, he felt good. He wished he could never break the hug, lost in his thoughts Rey didn't realize that they reached near his home.Yuvi applies break.
Yuvi: wo Rey, maine ek decision liya hai
Rey: yea! Bol na. kaisa decision?
Yuvi: wo, (looks here and there)main papji se Taani k bare mein baat karunga.
Rey didn't know how to react, he was just blank, he quickly gives a fake smile.
Rey: yea! You should. I mean acha decision liya tune! (he didn't know what he was saying)
Yuvi hugs Rey, Rey didn't know what to do. He was suppose 2 be happy, but he couldn't. Yuvi on the other side didn't know what he was doing, he didn't know why he was doing this. But somewhere it made him think that this might be the right step to make his and Taani's relationship stronger

Later that night Yuvi informed Taani that he will speak to his father about them, Taani was shocked, tensed and not excited at all.
It was 1:00 am already, but Taani couldn't sleep. She kept turning left to right, she felt uncomfortable with everything, she would take her blanket on and very next moment throws it on the other side. Finally she sits on her bed,
Taani: (to herself)Hey rabji ye akhir ho kya raha hai! Yuvi apne papji se humare bare mein baat karenga? Unke papaji to mujse phone pe bhi baat karna pasand nahi karte! Wo pata nahi kaise react karenge! Par is Yuvi ko kya zarurat hai ab ye sab kuch karne ki! Yuvi bhi na kabhi kabhi ajeeb harkate karta hai! Ab Rey hi rokh sakta hai use! Muje Rey se baat karni padegi.
She quickly dials his number, but it be's switched off.She gets restless, She keeps both her hands on her forhead out of frustration, She had to speak to Rey orelse she felt she would go insane! Suddenly she gets an idea, She jumps out of her bed, goes staright to her drower, removes her scooty keys and slowly tip toes and goes outside her room making sure Panchi doesn't wake up and takes out her bike, wears her helmet and goes staright to Rey's home.
She parks her bike, looka around and lifts some pebbles and throws it on his window.but Rey was in his deep sleep to realize what was goin on. She gives up and deciedes to go back when suddenly an idea struck her mind. She looks at Reys window, and decides to climb n get in there.
With loads of guts and struggling, Taani finally climbs up the windows and pushes and jumps inside. She notices Rey sleeping there, she walks up to him.
Taani: (to herself) main yaha so nahi paa rahi hu, aur ye hai ki aaram se so raha hai! (she hits his shoulder) rey!
Rey gets up with a jerk! He directly sits on his bed. He looks at Taani who was standing infront of him wearing her helmet. He gets up and looks at her, he didn't know why but he wanted to touch her, touch her and make sure he wasn't dreaming, he slowly lifts up his hands and keeps his palm on her cheeks. That was it, all her frustrations just oozed away! she keeps looking at his palm and then at him. He lifts his other hand and places it on her other cheek. Taani feels all frozen. Rey was stil not in his senses.
Rey: (smiling) mere sapne mein tum helmet pehenke kyu ayi ho?
Taani: (confused, touches her helmet and smiles, she holds his hands which were on her cheeks) Ye sapna nai hai pagal!!
Rey: (still smiling) Sapna hi toh hai, tum mere ghar mein, rat ko, mere room mein, aise pajyama pehenke, kitna cute sapna hai,
Taani looks at her clothes, she was in her pjyamas, she looks at him and starts laughing, And shakes his shoulders
Taani: (in between her laughs) reu utja! Muje baat karni hai tujse!
Rey comes in his senses now and removes his hands from her cheeks and holds her shoulders, and then holds her hands and realizes that she is really present.
Rey: (tensed) Taani?? Tu sachme ?? god! Itne raat ko yaha??Tu andhar kaise ayi??
Taani points out the window to him, Rey looks at her and starts laughing. Suddenly he remembers about Yuvi and stops laughing, Taani was still laughing,
Rey: (sadly) tumhe yaha nahi hona chaiye tha Taani.
Taani stops laughing and looks at him. For few minutes she completely forgot why she was there, her expression changes, she gets tensed again.
Taani: Rey, Rey please Yuvi ko rokh lo, use mere ghar ane se rokh lo. Yuvi achanak aisa kyu kar raha hai? Wo tumhari baat kabhi nahi talega!
Rey: Taani, relax!
But Taani keeps telling him to convience Yuvi not to speak to his dad. Rey tries to calm her down but she wouldn't,Finally Rey holds her waist with 1 hand and pulls her and keeps his finger on her lips. Taani couldn't speak now, Her hands were on his shoulders,her voice got stuck near her throat as he touched her lips.

The very thought that Taani didn't stop him bought a smile on his face, he wanted to go back and live that moment all over again! Taani on the other hand was on her bike, she couldn't stop thinking about what happened, she was blushing,.
