I caught the movie online (the print was terrible but I couldn't wait and anyway, the censors here r gonna chop off most of the movie)

I'm still suffering from the Hrithik effect.....MIND-BLOWING performance by him esp in the revovler scene....was it only me, or did he kinda look lik JOhnny Depp frm Pirates (jack sparrow) in tht 'hulk hogan' kinda lik get-up....and oh, he looked SUPER SEXY in that white suit 😳

The rest were simply irritating....Abhi needs to shave---he looked teriible and honestly, why did they make hrithik and abhi dance together---abhi looked lik a clown dancing with hrithik!
Uday was cute but he kinda got on my nerves with tht Monali act.....their love story was such a waste of time
Bips looked WOW and I msut say he pulled off the 'bold' outfits better than Ash.....but she aws wasted inteh movie...nothin special frm her except the skin show!

Ash really disappointed me ni the movie----now I know why ppl call her ice maiden.....I swear if she didn't have Hrithik as her co-star then the critics would've really slaughtered her! Even during the kiss---she looked so passionless.....she really acted like a wannabe esp in her intro scene! She better start acting otherwise JOdha Akbar will go down the drain!

I really like Ash but she disappointed me big time.....she finalyl got a perfect co-star in Hritihik and still she screwed up! To be honest, she is yet to create the same chemistry and magic that she shared with Salman in HDDCS!

I feel Priyanka Chopra would've been better in Ash's place.....again, pls don't bash me, I jsut felt ASh was uncomfortable and nor did she have the attitude to pull of the role.....Hrithik realyl saved her with his persona and charisma on screen...

Ash truly acted like a wannabe in her intro scene,and she was so COLD all throughout the movie...There was no warmth to Sunehri(SHonali was more warm as the no-nonsense cop),Sunehri looked so fake!...She couldnt even reciprocate the passion...Hrithik truly saved her,..All this coming from an ardent Ash fan,so people can imagine how disappointed I am 😭😭😭


Ash looked uncomfortable in those short clothes,she couldnt pull itt off(Except in the two songs...crazy and DIl laga Na..she looked FAB in those two songs,danced like a dream👏).....She's a fantastic dancer,fantastic model,but isnt a fantastic actress sadly...One of the reviewers mentioned that everything is fine till Ash opens her mouth ,totally agree....

BTW,can anyone explain why Ali was in a burqa when Abhi and him landed in Rio😕...Did I miss something

lol Buffie Uday was was in a burka because Hrithik had seen him and knows that hes a cop so if he had seen him at the airport then he would have known that police is following him


well guys i saw the movie on Sat and heres my review


I thought the movie was really good and wished it was longer with more action scenes....each robbery was awesome and all the stunts were really good as well...the ending wasnt that good...it would have been better if aish and hrithik had both stayed negative and not change....as for the performances heres what i think

Hrithik- Awesome, mind-blowing, hot and flawless

Aish- I actually like her performance as well and thought that the whole "like" attitude was kinda cute

Bips- she awesome as well......she did part with ease but i wish there would avebeen more of shonali rather than monali

Uday- really adorable and was really funny

Abhi- pretty average...but i wished he would have worked on his body like every1 else

song picturization was awesome and my fav was definitly Dil Laga Na....hrithik and aish looked hot and sizzeled in that song

So overall I thout the movie was really good and not even once was it boring...but i wish they would have put more action scenes and would have had a better ending

Guys...I had a question, in the movie, you see whn Ash "shoots" Hrithik, and Hrithik falls of the cliff rite...those bullets, they were fake bullets rite? I mean I know Hrithik came bac, like he was in that ending scene, so obv his character didn't die...but I just wanted to make sure...it was fake bullets rite?

I saw the movie yesterday and it was GOOD. The scene where ash and hrithik were sitting down, and taking turns "shooting" each other (sounds so funny LOLZ 😆 ) was soo intense, and I was creeped out!

You know ...there was a article about Bips looking hotter than Ash ..

In her introductory scene in the film, Ash is shown completely dressed in black outfit (of a thief) and wearing a mask. A few minutes later, she takes off her dress in front of the hero ( Hrithik Roshan ) and stands in a tiny top and shorts.

The posture she strikes is supposed to be sexy, but is far from it. What you see is Ash standing with her arms slightly akimbo, her pelvis stiff and her bust ostentatiously protruding to the thief in front of her. Now, that is supposed to be "sex appeal" for you.

And I TOTALLY agree with that! Her elbow was sticking out in that scene, and the way she was standing in front of Hrithik...it was so fake!! Well...I like Bips better than Ash, so obv..I liked Bips better in this movie, too. 😳 😊

I thought Dhoom 2 was just 🤢

It had no story. The begining was OK but they didn't talk about the robbery at all. It was just about the love story between two criminals.

The characters were underdeveloped.
The love story b/t Ash and HR(Hrithik) was soooo unbelievable. They nevered showed any reason for their love. The way HR fell in love did not suit the kind of character he was played. It didn't make sense. In one scene he said that he only goes solo. In the next he joins with Ash. Ash was sooo bad in acting.

Bipasha Basu was totaly wasted. Her first role had no significance to the movie and neither did her second. Why did they just dump the 1st one??

Abhi was alright. Didn't add anything or take away. Uday was funny.

The script was soo bad. Ash, "Are you like checking me out???" 😆 😆 😆 There was sooo many holes. In one scene, Ash told Abhi that she had chosen the criminal over the cop. The next thing you know they are in a motorcycle chase. How did he know where she was. In the end, they never explained how HR survived the fall. There were countless flaws in the story.

The songs got really in the way. I felt as though they filmed the songs after the movie and then just stuck them in in random places. This movie would have been better without songs.

I really have no idea why the movie was apreciated by the critics. The movie was cheezy at best.

The best part was the baywatch spoof 😆 😆 😆

The climax was funny....One major drawback with D2 is that so many scenes are in slow motion...

Another aspect which piqued me was Sunehri's addressing herself in the third person..."Sunehri mar jayegi,magar tumhe dhokha nahin degi" etc etc...That was little annoying,her constantly addressing herself in the third person ....Beats me how all the reviewers have praised the Hr-Ash chemistry to the skies,when there wasnt any actually...Ash was as cold as an ice maiden

Loopholes galore,One should leave one's brain back at home,as if we try to search for logic,we wouldnt find it many a times😆

AGREED!..But he fell in love after the Krazy song,He was totally smitten be her...I'm sure you wouldnt have missed those love lorn looks of Aryan when Sunehri was dancing..Basically,he was attracted to her,thus took her in

But still doesnt explain why this astute international thief would take in this woman without even doing any research about her background😕..and Yes,reiterating,Ash didnt act..She for one never looked as though she was in Love with Aryan..Not even in the last scene at the pub/restaurant...She looked wooden and lost!

For one,she looked totally LOST in the movie...She constantly had the WTF look on her face...SHe looked confused and overawed...The liplock was passionate,but the passion mainly emanated from Aryan...That entire scene,where Aryan loads the revolver with one bullet and both start shooting taking turns,Ash looked LOST,CONFUSED,INTIMIDATED,SCARED and ICY cold...🤢...She didnt show any passion from her side,it was one of her worst performances...She looked so uncomfortable....

The clothes....She had ZILCH attitude,she just couldnt carry it off..The scene where she uncovers,she's in those shorts,short top and boots..It was 🤢 ..The basketball scene was another one where she looked BAD in those short clothes(especially when the camera caught a toe to head view of her)...She looked good only in DIl LAga NA (albeit she wore a mini skirt,she looked good) and in the climax scene where Ash and Hrithik escape on the motorbike...She(or They😳) looked MARVELLOUS in that scene(ALbeit i would call it a CRIME to make it so cliched...SO,hrithik stops fighting with ABhi only because Uday has Ash at gunpoint...WTF,why get so regressive and make it look like a typical 80's movie🤢...The coup de grace being the line"JAb koi kisi se itna pyaar karta hai blah blah"...WTH,the climax of Dhoom 1 was much better,where there were no sentimental and emotional drama..It looked cool when John rode off a cliff,here it seemed hackneyed) )....Even in the last scene(at the pub,where she's wearing a white shirt and white skirt),it looked CRAPPY on her.....But,one thing which intrigued me...How did she get that ass😕,it was so much like watching some mexican or brazilian chick..COuldnt believe it was Ash🤔

Bipasha on the other hand didnt get the meaty role,but she oozed sex appeal and oomph..As Shonali,and as Monali,she looked great...She has the right attitude,which is THE sine qua non needed to carry off short clothes.....I was initially put off by the pictures and posters YRF had released before the movie,I though Bips looked ewww,but I was wrong...Ash has a photogenic face and thus looked good in the still photographs,but when it comes to real life and celluloid,Bips takes away the cake....Just goes to prove that simply short clothes and mini skirts alone dont make anyone look sexy,Its the attitude with one sports...No offense,but this was my brutally honest opinion...All this coming from a ardent Ash fan

I agree,....her character never hooked me on..From the beginning till the end,I was simply waiting for her to start performing,but she left alot to be desired....All those scenes with Hrithik,the passion and love seemed to be one sided,Ash plainly looked like a cold ice maiden🤢.....Their first meeting,the basketball scene,the dinner scene,the confrontation scene,all of these were enacted by Ash with mediocrity.....The ONLY good scenes(or rather dare I say tolerable scenes) were the following

When Aryan first shows his real face to Sunehri(She was drooling,and it looked real),the scene where Aryan explains the importance and value of those coins to Sunehri at the Museum at Rio...BArring these scenes,NONE of the HR-Ash scenes looked impressive....

My favourite scenes from the movie were the action scenes,and all the four heists..The intro scene,the diamond theft(the best scene of the movie),the sword theft and the final theft...Those scenes raised the bar,and it was disheartening to see that the film couldnt sustain those standards(the brazil scenes with Bips and Uday,and Hrithik Ash looked mediocre best,and were NOTHING compared to the scenes which took the movie to a different level)...Ofcourse we cant compare Dhoom to a JAmes Bond movie,but still for the indian standards,the stunts were good(albeit the slow motion version of each stunt was excruciating)

And there were people saying DHoom 2 is the best movie..SORRY,it doesnt come anywhere close to Omkara,RDB and Munnabhai...HEck,Krrish was better,as Priyanka did better than Ash😭..ATleast she showed some passion towards Krrish...IF only Hrithik wasnt there in the movie,it would have been total total total CRASS....I hope Ash improvises on her histrionics in Jodha Akbar,if this is the case,them I'm afraid JA would flop...Dhoom atleast had other stars too,actions etc so one actor can afford to perform badly...But JA is 3 hrs devoted to Hrithik Ash's romance and life..If Ash doesnt act,then no one can save it from tanking...😭

her outing with bacchan is national news! channels dedicating half an hour each all through the day..it is front pagenews on all dailys..had abhi chosen anyone else ,would the media go crazy like this..

if all hate ash so much..do you think yashrajbanner or news channels are absolutely nuts to give her top priority..if not hr-ash pairing,which other actress would have created this much hype?rani in dhoom2?not priyanka post krissh,preity,kareena?

ash is a hopeless artist but ask a manirathnam,ashutosh gowarikar,rituparno ghosh and everyother director why they put their money on her...

the bacchan family is treating her as though she is someone really special.

when it comes to Ash, they nitpick every single tiny details.. some people are blaming her for the dialogues as well.. they don't seem to understand that the character she played was like how she protrayed..and was a mysterious a little crazy, weird, indian valleygirl.. Dhoom 2 won't be sent for Oscars and oscar worthy histrionics wasn't required by anyone... for what the characters were everyone did a good job.. specially Hrithik and Ash, without them this movie isn't even worth watching..

I dont have a problem with her dialouges....its just that she didn't have the attitude---she was too 'in-ur'face' types and seemed lik a wannabe esp in her opening scene with that 'I am so hot' line🤢 I wish she was more restrained (that doesn't mean carryin a dead-pan expression on ur face btw).

It was almost like they were trying to make her look sexy....it didn't seem natural like it did with Hrithik......

I don't deny taht Ash is a brilliant actress---but she could've done a lot better in d-2....saying that, ash always performs well when given a good director like SLB and if Ashutosh can give SRK a new lease of life in Swades, I'm sure he can bring out the best in Ash as well...😳
